Re: CHINA: Elevator Operator Fail

Some people are just so dumb. Reminds me slightly of that scene in Guy Ritche's SNATCH with the two would-be thugs trapped inside the glass vestibule overnight because the door is "locked", then the next morning one of their co-horts casually pushes the door open from the outside

I noticed a lot of young chinese guys have that half-dollar-sized bald spot instead of male pattern baldness. It must be an ethnicity thing similar to a lot of young black women that have that male pattern baldness

She should wear a skirt to cover that thing up. And a hat to cover her bald forehead.

Re: CHINA: Elevator Operator Fail

He's lucky that's the worst thing that happened to him in a chinese elevator; that he only got befuddled. The design and maintenance of elevators and escalators (those things malfunction and chew people up all the time ) in China is so poor that surviving an elevator ride is an accomplishment.

Chinese law states that companies that fix and maintain elevators must send TWO technicians out for the job. But some chinese companies to cut costs have ONE maintenance guy show up with a life-sized cardboard cutout of another worker so they can take a pic that shows TWO workers in the field No joke, this is actually what they do; so one worker in a job that requires two typically results in lots of shortcuts and some very dangerous elevators and escalators there.
