Saigon Execution: Eddie Adams' Photo of Nguyen Ngoc Loan, February 1, 1968
Nguyen Ngoc Loan, chief of the Republic of Vietnam National Police, shot a handcuffed prisoner on a Saigon street on February 1, 1968, the second day of the Tet Offensive. Photojournalist Eddie Adams captured the instant Loan fired a revolver at the prisoner's head. Television cameramen also recorded the killing, and the footage was broadcast the following day. Adams' photographic sequence shows South Vietnamese troops leading the bound prisoner along the street, Loan firing and the prisoner lying on the pavement as Loan walks away. The image became known as "Saigon Execution" and earned Adams the 1969 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography. It was also named the World Press Photo of the Year for 1968. The prisoner's identity remains disputed. He was widely identified as Nguyen Van Lem, also known as Bay Lop, but other accounts named Le Cong Na or Nguyen Tan Dat, also known as Han Son. Accounts of what the prisoner had done before his capture also differ. Adams later expressed regret over the effect the photograph had on Loan's life.  ·

war is a natural occurrence in life due to peoples retarded quarrels because of their own beliefs and respect that some dipshits think they have earned because of what family/race/money they were born into or what they have done to "earn" their respect or just because you dont like someones beliefs or them personally
