Star Myers was sentenced on September 30, 2025, to 22 years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision after pleading no contest to second-degree intentional homicide in the death of Richard Bork in Jackson County, Wisconsin.

Myers lived in the Town of Manchester near Black River Falls and was 49 when arrested in March 2023 and 51 at sentencing. Bork lived with her and was described in reports as either her husband or partner. His age was not found in the reporting. Myers had a prior conviction in Dunn County.

According to the criminal complaint, Myers was giving Bork a shoulder massage when he told her about other women he had slept with, and she then shot him in the head. Two people told investigators the shooting happened in a bedroom. The complaint says Myers told friends she needed to get rid of the body, which was burned in the backyard. The gun was put in bleach and given to a friend to scatter along roadways, and police later recovered gun pieces.

Myers reported Bork missing to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office on March 9, 2023. Investigators learned of his death the next day, executed a search warrant at the property on County Highway O near State Highway 27, and found human remains in the backyard. Six people were taken into custody by March 13, 2023. During the recorded interview about Bork's disappearance, Myers denied killing him.

Myers was charged with first-degree intentional homicide with use of a dangerous weapon, hiding a corpse, possession of a firearm by a felon and several drug charges. Her son, Jeffrey Myers-Woychik, then 22, and his girlfriend, Savannah Pellett, were among those charged in the aftermath. Pellett later pleaded no contest to aiding a felon.

On March 8, 2024, Myers-Woychik pleaded guilty to hiding a corpse as party to a crime and was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and five years of extended supervision. A weapons count was held open under a diversion agreement. Myers was found competent to proceed in November 2023. After her no-contest plea, the remaining charges were dismissed and read in. Her sentence was ordered to run consecutively to her Dunn County sentence, and she was ordered to pay $4,800 in restitution.
