Richard Allen Questioned in Delphi Murders
Abigail "Abby" Williams, 13, and Liberty "Libby" German, 14, disappeared near the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana, on Feb. 13, 2017, and were found dead the next day on the north bank of Deer Creek. Richard Allen was convicted of their murders on Nov. 11, 2024, and sentenced to 130 years on Dec. 20, 2024. This thread holds Allen's recorded police interviews from Oct. 13, 2022, and Oct. 26, 2022, the latter in two parts, along with his recorded prison calls. The attached Oct. 13 interview runs about 88 minutes; the police interview recordings were trial exhibits made public in April 2025. The case thread with crime scene evidence and trial exhibits is here: Delphi Abby and Libby Crime Scene Pic

Re: Richard Allen Questioned in Delphi Murders
Eight recorded prison calls Attached are about 47 minutes covering eight calls Allen made to his wife and mother from Westville Correctional Facility between November 2022 and June 2023, which prosecutors played at trial, according to ABC and WRTV coverage. In one call, he told his wife, "I did it. I killed Abby and Libby," and she told him he was not well and had not done those things. The defense argued that the confessions came from the psychological toll of solitary confinement.
