Found on Twitter/X. You can clearly see the branches and how they were placed on the girls. Libby’s hands are covered in blood and Abby is clearly wearing Libby’s clothes. Rest in peace to these two sweet young souls.

Abigail "Abby" Williams, 13, and Liberty "Libby" German, 14, disappeared on Feb. 13, 2017, after being dropped off around 1:30 p.m. on County Road 300 North in Delphi, Indiana, to walk the trails. German posted a photo of Williams on the Monon High Bridge at 2:07 p.m. They were reported missing that evening after failing to meet German's father at 3:15 p.m. Their bodies were found around noon on Feb. 14, 2017, about half a mile east of the abandoned bridge, on the north bank of Deer Creek.

Audio from German's phone captured a man's voice saying, "Down the hill." Police released the recording on Feb. 22, 2017. Richard Matthew Allen was taken into custody on Oct. 26, 2022. Police announced on Oct. 31, 2022, that he had been charged with two counts of murder. He pleaded not guilty.

In October 2023, Judge Frances Gull removed Allen's defense attorneys, citing gross negligence after crime scene photos were leaked from their office. The Indiana Supreme Court reinstated the attorneys. The person who posted the crime scene photo said it was found on X. Allen's trial began Oct. 18, 2024, in Delphi, and a jury convicted him on all counts on Nov. 11, 2024. On Dec. 20, 2024, Gull sentenced him to consecutive terms of 65 years for each murder, totaling 130 years.

Libby German's phone

The attachments begin with three photos of Libby German's phone as found under leaves at the scene, included in the prosecutor's Feb. 4, 2025, response to a motion to correct errors, followed by ten trial-exhibit photos released by the court to FOX59/WXIN in 2025. Full Bridge Guy video

Attached is the full 43-second video from Libby German's phone showing a man on the bridge. Investigators said the man was the killer; a state trooper testified at trial that the voice was Richard Allen's.
