Michael Andrew Drejka, 47, was found guilty of manslaughter on August 23, 2019, for fatally shooting Markeis Deon McGlockton, 28, outside the Circle A Food Store on Sunset Point Road in Clearwater, Florida, on July 19, 2018. Drejka was sentenced on October 10, 2019, to 20 years in prison.

At about 3:30 p.m., Drejka confronted McGlockton's girlfriend over her car being parked in a disabled space. McGlockton came out of the store, shoved Drejka to the ground and stepped back. Drejka drew a .40-calibre Glock and fired once, hitting McGlockton in the chest. McGlockton died at Morton Plant Hospital at 4:04 p.m.

Drejka was questioned for about six hours that day. He told detectives he had feared he would be hurt and that McGlockton had stepped toward him.

On July 20, 2018, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced that no arrest would be made, citing Florida's stand-your-ground law. State Attorney Bernie McCabe charged Drejka with one count of manslaughter on August 13, 2018.

The trial began on August 19, 2019. In December 2021, Florida's Second District Court of Appeal upheld the conviction and sentence.
