What's with the nose-plugging? Is that so embalming fluid won't leak out? I see it's done in developing world funerals, but one doesn't see it in Western-type funerals. Do western embalmers have a more discreet, undetectable way of plugging up the nostrils?

My father was an embalmer and I worked with him a lot, and some of these are terrible jobs. Damn. Cotton balls in their noses and mouth, wow. What's next a banana in the tailpipe? |
