Re: Various Different Women Shown in Their Casket
I disagree. I took my daughters to see their grandma in her coffin when she died. They were young. A photo didn't mean anything to them. They asked where nanny had gone and I told them she had died. It wasn't until they said goodbye to her themselves, seeing her 'sleeping forever' in her coffin that they really understood she wasn't coming back. It's the parents choice whether they take the children to see the deceased relatives. My daughters are grown up now and are not traumatised by the viewing. It helped them to accept nanny was gone. |

Re: Various Different Women Shown in Their Casket
I remember being forced to go and see my Nan when I was young. She was green. I still remember the smell and it tortured my mind for weeks after, if not months. |

Re: Various Different Women Shown in Their Casket
I would not have taken my daughters to see their nan if that were the case. But my mum was green after she died. I will never ever forget it. An awful translucent sort of green.
