Nineteen-year-old László P. from Budapest was a promising basketball player, but he recently died of heart surgery. As the Blikk newspaper reported this week, his mother was shocked at the funeral when she found out that the funeral service had broken her son's leg to fit in the coffin.
She bore the loss of her son Julius very hard, but in spite of that she was able to find strength in herself and personally arranged all the formalities around the funeral.
"After his death, he looked like he was asleep, so I decided to have an open casket at the funeral," said my mother. "At the funeral service, I emphasized that the son was 192 centimeters tall, so they could count on it," she added.
The mother made a deposit and the funeral service was to take care of everything else. "An hour and a half before the funeral, they called me that the originally ordered coffin was small, they had to order a larger one, but it would be more expensive. They added that they would cover the body from the waist down, "said Júlia. The mother was suspected of covering the lower half of her son's body.
"I uncovered my lower body and thought I was going to pass out. His left leg was broken at the ankle to fit in their coffin, "said the shocked Julia, who wants to take the case to court.

Budapest - Júlia (43) won a lawsuit after her son Lacus († 18), who died of heart surgery, was pressed into a coffin that was too small. The court has now ruled at first instance that the funeral home has committed an offense and must pay compensation.
As Blikk first wrote , on May 10 , 2014, Julia noticed at the funeral that her son’s body had been humiliated in the dead, with her ankles twisted, bloodily tucked into an undersized coffin .
All Julia was left with were the photos and the horrible last picture as she saw Laci in the coffin
"In Lacus's death, it was as if he were asleep, so I asked for an open coffin funeral," the mother began. "I stated on the funeral home's order form that my son was 192 centimeters tall," says Julia, a mother who was called by an employee of the funeral home by phone an hour and a half before the ceremony: unfortunately the deceased is bigger than she indicated. ordered into a coffin, it is transferred to a larger one, but it also costs more.
"At the funeral, I looked at why my son was covered." I thought I was fainting when I saw the shoe standing up, her left ankle rolled out, ”the woman showed the pictures, who took photographic evidence of the violation. "I don't want money from the company, but I owed Lacus the lawsuit, and I don't want anyone else to do this disgrace!" Julia told Blikk.
Laci was tall, playing basketball at a height of 192 inches
The funeral home tried to shirk responsibility, but the evidence, the authors of the autopsy officers, the testimonies of the morgues were convincing to the judge, according to the unconstrained verdict.
- Among other things, the document issued by SOTE states that "the late László P. is suitable for an open coffin burial" . Thus, in our opinion, the defense of the funeral home cannot be accepted, nor can the responsibility be transferred to another person, said the lawyer of the deceased's mother, dr. Anikó Herczeg. The company can still appeal.
