Re: Child Star Heather O'Rourke In Her Casket

As soon as I would of seen the swollen feet and hands especially being a child I would of took her to the ER. Swelling indicate a variety of problems with the organs, the parents should of been more cautious, she was so angelic.

She was such a beautiful little girl. I remember watching it on the news and I have to admit, I cried. To have someone so beautiful and talented taken away so soon wasn't fair.

I really wish her mother had decided to act sooner. RIP Sweetie.
You would think so, if my little girls was turning blue I wouldn't ask her if she wanted toast, we would be doing 100 mph to the closest hospital

Re: Child Star Heather O'Rourke In Her Casket

I think I read she had a congenital condition called intestinal stenosis (I think???). She just went septic once her intestine burst, all that bacteria flooding into the abdominal cavity shut everything down. Poltergeist was a pretty cursed movie, she died, Dominique Dunne was strangled by her ex-boyfriend (and served an incredibly lenient jail sentence due to the judge not allowing testimony from previous girlfriends about his violent behavior, resulting in the jury only convicting him of incoluntary manslaugher.) Then Will Sampson, who played Taylor in PII died on the operating table as well....

Re: Child Star Heather O'Rourke In Her Casket

Very Very Sad. I always thought she died from something much more serious than bowl obstruction. I love the scene in Poltergeist when the father throws up that animal looking thing that crawls under the bed, only to crawl back out and smile at him. Nice! But as for Heather,,, too young, too young.

She was in a few episodes of Happy Days as well, and in one episode, one of her lines was "They're here!" The audience went nuts.

I can almost hear her chant ......"They`re Here!"...Or "The TV people"....Or "I Can`t See You Mommie" Or "You`re A Doggy Bag"...Or Tweety Doesn`t Like That Smell" Or "Mommy That Burns" Or "Not Again!" Or "Can I Get A Goldfish Now?"
