I think those are lungs ... you only have 1 liver and it is a different colour than that, altho i am not an expert so pls don't quote me. What i think that they are showing is the smoke damage in the throat and then into the lungs. Poor kiddie the smoke damage is the worst thing :(
And I think that my 'medical' English is bad... indeed, these are Lungs after checking in the dictionary.

Still, the poor kid.
