Re: Autopsy of an Organ Donor
I have a genetic liver and kidney disease. I'm already in kidney failure-functioning at about 40%. I went through all this with my mom when she needed a liver and kidney transplant. It came from a girl my age (27 at the time), and gave us 4 more wonderful years together. As soon as my liver fails I'll need a transplant, too. I hope someone is generous enough to let me have a little more time with my son. Please folks, be a donor... |

Re: Autopsy of an Organ Donor
Call me selfish but I don't want any part of me living inside someone else. I plan on dying of old age anyway so no part of me would be of any use. Then it's straight into the crematorium I go. Not going to be cut up or pumped full of chemicals. No funeral services or obituary. Seriously! Who gives a shit?

Re: Autopsy of an Organ Donor
My husband died last year at age of 32. I didn't know he was a organ donor so when they called me. It was a very hard choice to make. I have seen so many organ donor done in the OR in the hospital were I work.
