from what I understand, generally no, but donating organs can save up to 8 peoples lives with one death of a donor as long as all organs are healthy and viable and there are no bloodborne diseases, versus body donation for science. I guess its a matter of what you would want more :)

I think they were a little more interested in his bones than they were in his organs. Generally if they are going to harvest organs they do it on somebody just taken off life support.

Cremate me, seal my remains in a capsule with a little history of my life, and jettison it into space towards one of the inhabitable earth-like planets we've discovered already (Gliese 581c). Then by the time we colonize that world, someone will have discovered a way to reanimate dead remains and bring me back... so I can complain how music isn't as good as it was in the 60's-90's.
