I raise my hand, but this guy had neither cover nor concealment. He was in the middle of the road, as the original poster stated. While I oppose the US conquest of Iraq, I can't say I support any of the people who fought against the invasion, either. This guy was probably a member of that stupid "Mahdi Army" organized by that ultra-vile Moqtada al-Sadr, who sent men into combat with zero training. They were helpless. I actually feel sorry for this guy, and would gladly serve justice upon his commanding officer. I respect him as a (would-be) soldier who gave his life for a cause he thought was worthy. At least he was firing at an enemy army, as opposed to sawing some helpless hostage's head off with a paring knife. |
