Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
Kursk citizens claim that many russian volunteers are switching to the Ukrainian side. They are fed up with their government not caring about people unless they're from Moscow or St. Petersburg. Some russian soldiers were killed, some were captured, and some started fighting against russian forces. During a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 74 settlements in Kursk region are under Ukraine's control. According to Zelensky, there are heavy battles in Kursk region, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to advance and take more and more russian prisoners. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
The number of strikes by KAB's in Kharkiv Oblast has sharply decreased. This happened immediately after the opening of the front in the Kursk region. If earlier russia carried out 30-60 strikes per day in the Kharkiv region, now their number does not exceed 10, Oleg Synegubov, the head of OVA, said. Also, according to the Economist, the russians began to actively transfer their troops from the Kharkiv direction to Kursk. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
Satellite images of the Borisoglebsk airfield, which was attacked last night in russia, have appeared Satellite images from Planet Labs for August 14 show that Ukrainian drones hit the northwestern part of the airfield - in particular, several hangars were destroyed. russian Su-25, Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft are based at the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region. ================================ Also the MOD tells that an enemy SU-34 was shot down in the Kursk region. ================================ russia has pulled reserves from key battleground areas in Ukraine and russian-occupied Crimea in an effort to hold back Ukrainian advances into russian territory, a Ukrainian military commander told Wednesday. Dymtro Kholod, commander of the “Nightingale” battalion, told that in Sumy that the military has “information” suggesting russian soldiers are being pulled from Zaporizhzhia, Crimea, and Kharkiv to halt Ukraine’s continued advances into russia’s Kursk region. The enemy are now trying to stop our advance as they have pulled in reserves, which has benefited our defense forces in other areas, because it has become easier to work there,” he said. “Of course, it will be harder for us to advance further, but we will still advance,” he added. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
The situation in Donbas is difficult: the occupiers are pressing in all directions and approaching important cities Currently, they are only 6 km from Selidovoy, the loss of which will pose a threat to the defense of Kurakhovo. The enemy crossed the Vugledar-Marinka highway and entrenched in our former positions. There is also a threat of semi-encirclement of our group in Ugledar. In addition, russian troops approached Pokrovsk by 13 km. This is an important logistics point for the Armed Forces, from where the road of life to Chasovoy Yar opens, and other advanced units are also supplied. At the beginning of the year, russian troops stood 38 km from Pokrovsk. ========================================== Enemy forces are rapidly digging a network of trenches in Kursk Oblast, with only one catch: The trenches are 45 km behind the border. They have been developing a trench network that, if fallen back to, would cede Ukraine a massive amount of territory. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
Russian publics report the crash of a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber in the Cheremkhovsky district of the Irkutsk region. The long-range missile carrier took off from the Belaya airfield in the neighboring Usolsky district. The crew allegedly ejected. The Russian Armed Forces use the Tu-22M3 for missile strikes on Ukraine, in particular for launching Kh-22 missiles. The approximate cost is about $300 million, making it one of the most expensive aircraft in the Russian Air Force |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV
New York - Toretsk - Northern (lost control of York, which was a matter of time due to the risk of encirclement from the side of Zalizny. The enemy advanced west from the outskirts of York). Avdiivka - Zhelanne (bad situation as the enemy advanced significantly to the west and took full control of Zhelanne, Orlivka and Zhuravka). Krasnohorivka - Kostyantynivka (without significant changes). |
