Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

A russian Su-30SM crashed into the sea near Sevastopol. The Su-30SM, along with the Su-35, launched Kh-31P missiles at the Ukrainian mainland while over the sea north of Sevastopol.

The Su-30SM fired 4 missiles out of 6 possible (they were shooting at the turrets in the sea) after which it disappeared from the radar screen. The fighter was based at the airfield in Krymsk (Krasnodar Krai, russian federation).

The Su-30SM together with the Su-35 were launching Kh-31P missiles at mainland Ukraine while over the sea north of Sevastopol.

It is reported that Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters from the BSF airfield in Kacha took part in the search operation.

In the square shown on the map, was found an oil slick with a diameter of about 3 km, as well as the wreckage of the aircraft, including the wing.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

Vladimir Putin has warned the U.S. and NATO would be 'at war' with Russia if West lets Ukraine use long-range weapons.

US and British foreign ministers met President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Wednesday with the war at a pivotal point.

American officials have been discussing easing restrictions on the use of missiles that could strike deep inside Russia.

Putin said the move from the West would 'change the very nature of the conflict', and issued a severe threat against giving Zelensky more firepower.

'It would mean that NATO countries, the US, European countries, are at war with Russia,' he told a state TV reporter.

Any excuse to blame the west for his own doing.

A military plant suddenly caught fire in Omsk: a column of thick smoke is visible from different parts of the city.

"Omsktransmash" fulfils orders in the military sector and is under international sanctions.

Ukraine received 18 Bohdana howitzers, which were financed by Denmark. They were made in two months. The howitzer has a minimum range of 780 meters, and a maximum range of 42 km, or 50 km with a rocket-assisted projectile. It is capable of firing M982 Excalibur shells and it can fire 5 rounds per minute.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

North Korea supplied the aggressor country russia with a new batch of Hwasong-11 (KN-23) ballistic missiles, which the russian army systematically uses for strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

As the publication reports, on September 3 in Kyiv, experts from Conflict Armament Research, a British independent group engaged in the identification and tracking of weapons and ammunition, studied the wreckage of four North Korean missiles.

Experts deciphered the production markings on several parts of each missile.

A particular production year showed a very narrow window between production, transmission and use.

"That’s quite significant because we are talking about North Korea, a country that has been under sanction for almost two decades,” Damien Spleeters, who leads Conflict Armament Research’s operations in Ukraine, said in an interview.

He added that it also suggests that this was at least the second shipment of North Korean missiles to russia. According to him, the transfer of missiles in January "wasn’t a one-off".

Spleeters said the Hwasong-11 missiles used common commercially available electronic components manufactured by Western countries in 2023.

They were said to be similar to components found in many russian weapons examined by the group months before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Spleeters stressed that such a discovery should not come as a surprise, given how russia has managed to develop advanced weapons while under international sanctions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in May of this year it became known that half of the North Korean missiles launched by the occupiers over Ukraine exploded in the air without reaching their targets.

Recall that in August, South Korean intelligence stated that North Korea doubled the supply of ammunition to russia.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

Poland is considering the possibility of transferring additional MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

This was stated by Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslav Sikorski at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha.

"We are considering the possibility of providing additional batches of equipment, including, possibly, MiG-29 aircraft, which are needed today to protect Polish skies," said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
