Sweden will send its only two & currently active Saab 340 (ASC 890) airborne early warning and control aircraft to Ukraine in the largest military package yet, worth $1.25 billion. These planes are intended to complement the F-16s that are to begin arriving next month.

Compared to the traditional circular radar on AWACS planes, such as the E-3 Sentry, the Saab 340 has a non-movable PS-890 AESA radar made with the Erieye system which offers lower drag, but has a dead zone directly behind and in front of the plane, with a 120 degree zone of scan on either side of the airframe.

The mounted radar is capable of tracking ships, planes and missiles up to 190-250 mi (300-400 km) while at an altitude of 20,000 ft (6,100 m).

The US has officially announced a new aid package for Ukraine, with equipment worth roughly $225 million.

The package includes:
- HAWK surface to air missiles.
- Stinger MANPADS.
- Ammunition for HIMARS.
- 155mm Howitzers.

- 81mm mortar systems.
- M113 Armored Personnel Carriers.

Russian aviation-related Z-channels confirm the attack and damage of a Su-57 aircraft at the Akhtubinsk airfield.

A Ukrainian drone was able to damage a modern fifth-generation military aircraft, the cost of which is 2.2 billion Russian rubles.

France will train 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers, but on its own territory, said French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu.

According to the minister, the training promised by Emmanuel Macron is planned to be completed by 2025 as part of the Gerfaut operation.

"We are back to the question of creating a brigade, 4,500 soldiers is a lot. It requires training, as well as engineering, artillery and intelligence capabilities. This is the first time we are going to provide such consistent support and these 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers will be fully equipped and trained by the French army , but in France".

Finland is supplying Ukraine with its newest weapons systems, including prototypes still in development, as stated by Finland’s senior defense official. Combat feedback will aid Finnish military technology.

Finland does not reveal specific details of its military aid to Ukraine. This admission is not in line with the Finnish Government’s usual communications, which have traditionally provided only minimal information about the nature of the military assistance offered to Ukraine.

Lieutenant General Mikko Heiskanen, Finnish Defense Forces armament chief, revealed that the exported arms are not limited to old stockpiles but include the latest innovations from the Finnish defense industry.

The general highlighted that production reserves set aside by the Defense Forces for Finnish companies could potentially be activated to support Ukraine, pending political approval and additional funding.

Ukraine Launches First Airstrike on Russian Soil.

For the first time, Ukraine has launched an airstrike on Russian territory from a military aircraft. According to Sky News, a Ukrainian military source confirmed that a "Russian command post" in the Belgorod region was targeted.

Details of the Attack.
The Ukrainian source told Sky News that the strike achieved a direct hit. This is the first instance of the Ukrainian Air Force using airborne ammunition to strike a target inside Russia.

While damage assessment is still ongoing, "a direct hit has been confirmed," the anonymous source reported.

The “Ashes” Telegram channel previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted an ammunition depot in the Rakityansky district of Belgorod, resulting in a fire and subsequent explosion.

Official Responses.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, stated on his Telegram channel that the fire occurred in a non-residential building. He also confirmed that no injuries were reported.

"We are now transporting residents of nearby houses to a safe distance. The head of the Rakityansky district, Anatoly Klimov, and the operational services are on the spot," Gladkov said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of drones over the Belgorod region at three different times: 13:40, 14:00, and 14:20 Moscow time. The ministry did not report any casualties or comment on the presence of Ukrainian aviation over the region.

The type of ammunition used in the strike has also not been specified.

However, Sky News noted that the United States and France have given Ukraine permission to use their weapons to target military objectives on Russian territory to protect Kharkiv.
