This warning on vid1 has been the primary ethical concern ever since ai machines were a figment of the human imagination.

The first vid of the 3 gram directionally fired swarming munition is absolutely incredible as it can operate autonomously & can seek out its target without prior acquisition which is a huge game changer in terms of the military viable asset that it can represent as the facial recognition feature can be extremely useful in self-identification of targets or hit list via upload of the image to the CPU of the drone via wifi to seek out & neutralize the intended target in a swarm system thus reducing the risk of it being shot down ect, so if just one get through, it's job done without all the destruction of blowing up buildings or useful infrastructure & possibly even out dating or reducing manually operated drone missions as it's a set n forget system based on facial recognition, wow, take out anything anytime with minimal fuss.

Certainly, living in interesting times & the rate that AI can replicate & better itself on the hop is incredible just to imagine let alone witness in real life.

There's a huge downside though to this & that is, where there is good there's always a bit of bad & won't be long before terrorists' school up on drone tech in particular, to do evil shit as they are hard to identify who sent them to do bad things as this technology is available anywhere in the world where anyone can walk into a store & buy a drone as it's an unregulated industry & like they say once the genie is out of the bottle there's no going back as drones are an excellent delivery system & would certainly peak the interest of terrorist cowards.

I'm for it to a degree as there's plenty of good that they can do in the right hands BUT there's always some evil fuckers who will exploit this technology to enforce their war mongering & political or religious beliefs.

In my experience it's always a case of "Prepare for the worst & hope for the best" with new tech & even more so with this very invasive drone systems akin to "Space Invaders" as the limits with what you can achieve military wise are absolutely endless.

Time will tell I suppose but one thing's for sure, there's no going back now & the real scary part about all this is they are teaching these bots to become smarter than us, so there's no real off switch for it all.
