Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

"The offensive against the Myanmar Junta is continuing all over the country.

Here are MNDAA forces taking equipment from a captured Junta base in Shan State.

Due to the massive influx of young people into the rebel armies after the 2021 Coup and brutal crackdown afterwards, the rebels are very present on social media."

=======

"The Russians have begun the construction of a railway which goes from Rostov to Crimea through the occupied territories.

In this video the Gauleiter - I mean head of the occupied Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky confirms this.

How exactly they plan to secure the construction crews which will have to build through an active warzone is not know yet."

"Ruzzians are preparing a new massive assault on Avdiyivka, - ISW

This will be the third series of major assault operations.

One of the Russian military commanders stated that the Russian troops near Avdiivka were conducting a tactical regrouping. In his opinion, the target of potential offensive operations will be the Avdiivka Factory on the north."

"Former Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov received new suspicion from the SBU for theft of budget funds

The investigation believes that they and the acting Directors of the Department of State Procurement Khmelnytsky stole almost a billion hryvnia for the purchase of low-quality winter military uniforms in 2022. The Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot use it because this uniform is unsuitable for use in the cold season and in conditions of intense combat operations.

Now Shapovalov faces imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.

Hopefully they will get Reznikov too…"

"Zaluzhny's assistant died: it happened near Kyiv as a result of a grenade explosion, - UP.

"A 39-year-old military man died in the village of Chayki at his home as a result of careless handling of ammunition. His 13-year-old son is seriously injured, he was hospitalized."

UPD: It might be not the careless handling but assassination."

"Zaluzhnyi confirmed the sad news:

'Unspeakable pain and heavy loss for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for me personally.

Today, under tragic circumstances, on his birthday, my assistant and close friend, Major Gennadiy Chastyakov, died in the family circle.
An unknown explosive device went off in one of the gifts. Gennady is survived by his wife and four children. My deepest condolences to the family…

From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Gennady was a reliable shoulder for me, completely devoting his life to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the fight against Russian aggression.

The reasons and circumstances will be established during the pre-trial investigation.'

RIP"

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

Wondering when a good time would be to make a general "World War III" mega thread.
My feelings from the onset of the invasion on Israel.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

The SBU detained the traitor who led "Iskander" to residential buildings in Kharkiv a month ago

Mykola Plahotnik is a local resident. He worked as a foreman at an enterprise engaged in the construction of highways and bridges. The Russian special service recruited him remotely through Telegram.

On the instructions of the enemy, the scoundrel Plahotnik adjusted the "Iskander" missiles on Kharkiv on October 6 of this year. Then two civilians were killed, including a 10-year-old boy, and dozens of civilians were injured. Several residential buildings in the center of Kharkiv were destroyed. To prepare a missile attack, the agent gave the occupiers the electronic coordinates of "targets" with reference to the terrain. The criminal is in custody, he faces life imprisonment.

NO MEDIA:
"A good text by (https://www.hudson.org/foreign-polic...ne-luke-coffey) Luke Coffey , a senior researcher at the American think tank Hudson Institute, who clarifies the facts about US aid to Ukraine and debunks myths and manipulative narratives (which can often be seen among ours).

Fact: the USA does not write "blank checks" to Ukraine, and most of the money allocated to help Ukraine never leaves the USA.

✅ Every dollar in support of Ukraine is used for a specific purpose. Approximately $70 billion in aid to Ukraine will never leave the United States. In return, they support our defense industry and create jobs in 38 states.

✅ Convinced of the effectiveness of American military equipment in Ukraine, European countries alone placed orders for American-made military equipment worth $90 billion.

Fact: For a relatively small amount, American military aid helps Ukraine "reduce" the Russian army without the direct participation of American soldiers.

✅ Russia is the main geopolitical opponent of the USA and a close ally of China, Iran and North Korea.
Estimates vary, but up to 300,000 Russian servicemen were killed or wounded in Ukraine. The initial forces of the Russian invasion effectively ceased to exist in February 2022.

✅ Open sources have collected visual evidence that at the time of writing this article, Russia has lost more than 12,900 pieces of equipment in Ukraine. Since this number is limited to visually confirmed losses, the real number is likely much higher. Ukraine destroyed or damaged 16 ships and submarines, including the cruiser Moskva (formerly the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet) and the submarine Rostov-on-Don. Their destruction contributes to broader US security goals beyond the Black Sea.

Fact: There has never been a greater responsibility for US military aid than now for aid to Ukraine.

After the Russian invasion, the US government created an Interagency Working Group to Oversee Ukraine. More than 160 officials from 20 federal oversight agencies monitor American aid to Ukraine. The group has completed dozens of reports and dozens more are in the works. According to the task force, "investigations have not yet confirmed significant waste, fraud or abuse."

Fact: Europe spent more on aid to Ukraine than the USA.

According to data from the monitoring of aid to Ukraine conducted by the Kiel Institute of the World Economy, Europe's total aid commitments to Ukraine more than double that of the US, if all types of aid (military, economic, humanitarian and refugee aid) are taken into account.

Fact: A strong Ukraine is a safer Taiwan.

✅ The choice between security in Europe and security in the Indo-Pacific region is a false dichotomy. From the point of view of US national interests, these two regions are closely related. Russia is China's junior partner. A weakened or defeated Russia means a weaker China. Beijing is watching how Western powers support Ukraine, so a strong and victorious Ukraine makes Taiwan stronger and deters Chinese aggression.

✅ It is no coincidence that earlier this year Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Ukraine, while Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Russia. During this visit, Xi told Vladimir Putin: "Changes are happening now that haven't happened in 100 years. When we are together, we are driving these changes." Instead, according to Kishida himself, "the security of the Indo-Pacific region cannot be separated from European security."

Fact: European stability, which Russia is trying to undermine, affects the American worker.

✅ North America and Europe account for approximately 48% of the world economy. Europe is America's largest source of foreign investment. In 2021, Europe accounted for $3.19 trillion of the total $4.98 trillion in US foreign investment, or about 64%.

✅ The US and Europe are each other's largest export markets. In 2022, 45 of the 50 states exported more goods to Europe than to China. When Americans work for exports, it protects American jobs. European stability brings untold benefits to the American economy and, by extension, to American workers. Aid to Ukraine helps maintain this stability.

Fact: The lessons the US will learn from Ukraine will make America stronger in the Indo-Pacific region.

✅ Ukraine's support revealed serious flaws in the American defense and industrial base, which the United States is currently working to eliminate. Fortunately, these flaws were discovered when America was not directly at war.

✅ The deployment in Ukraine made it possible to test American military equipment in a way that is impossible in peacetime. The US is studying what works, what doesn't work, and how it can be improved. It prepares America for a future war to a degree that cannot be achieved through exercises alone.

✅ The US is replacing all the weapons it provides to Ukraine with newer, more effective systems.

Fact: The weapons that the US sends to Ukraine do not affect America's ability to fight the Indo-Pacific conflict.

✅ The MLRS missiles, the old AGM-88 and AGM-88E anti-radar missiles, and the AIM-7 and AIM-9M interceptor missiles that the US is sending to Ukraine are either irrelevant to the Indo-Pacific conflict or are expiring anyway suitability for use.

✅ The most effective way to use these weapons is to transfer them to Ukraine. The 10,000 Javelins or 2,000 Stingers the US has given Ukraine will not be the determining factor in whether the US can deter a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. But it was they who became the determining factor that allowed Ukraine to defend Kyiv in the first weeks of the war.

Fact: Thanks to the lessons that the USA learned by arming Ukraine, Taiwan will receive weapons earlier.

✅ For the first time, the Presidential Arms Reduction Authority (PDA), which was so effectively used for Ukraine, is also being used for Taiwan. Congress authorized up to $1 billion worth of arms to Taiwan under the PDA formula.

✅ Although the missile system (HIMARS) is in high demand among US allies and partners, Taiwan's order for additional HIMARS will arrive a year earlier than planned because the US has shifted sales priorities.

Fact: Ukraine is not a new "eternal war".

Not a single American serviceman is fighting against Russia in Ukraine. The USA is not a belligerent in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainians do not ask and do not want American troops to help them fight Russia. All they ask for are resources, which the US is more than capable of providing.

Fact: The US is not waging a proxy war against Russia.

✅ A proxy war is a war waged by states acting at the instigation or on behalf of other states. The US never incited Ukrainians to fight. The US does not force Ukrainians to fight on their behalf. The US is only satisfying the Ukrainians' requests for arms and aid because they are waging a war to defend themselves.

✅ Ukrainians are waging a war for national survival. Russia invaded Ukraine, not the other way around. Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine is the victim.
If Russia stops fighting, the war will end. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine as it is known today will not become.

Fact: The US should provide both military and non-military aid to achieve the greatest effect.

✅ Some suggest providing only one type of aid as a compromise with those who do not want to provide any aid to Ukraine. However, such a proposal is a half-measure and may lead to disappointing results. The Ukrainian military is not the only actor protecting Ukraine from Russia. The entire Ukrainian society is in a state of war.

✅ In the first year of the Russian invasion, almost 30 percent of the Ukrainian economy was destroyed. Despite this, the Ukrainian government and basic public services must function properly if the country is to remain in a state of total war. US support must be broad in scope. Those who call on the US to provide only military support fail to see the bigger picture in Ukraine.

Good luck with that

"Update of US Navy and Allies in the Mediterranean Sea "
All this shit is getting full on with RAF vs UAF , Gaza cracking off & now China & Taiwan butting heads.
All it's going to take is one idiot to do something wrong & it's WW111 & the question is will anyone use nukes as if they do, it's game over for all of us as if someone does use or shoot a nuke, they will get a nuke back & then the domino effect comes into play & we all suffer.

Hate to think about it but it is turning into a troublesome time in the history of the world.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

Rheinmetall has received an order from the German government to supply Ukraine with around 100,000 rounds of 120mm mortar ammunition. The order, worth a figure in the lower-three-digit million-euro range, forms part of a recent €400 million military aid package for the Ukrainian armed forces. Delivery is due to begin shortly and extend over the next two years.

With its recent takeover of Spanish ammunition maker Expal, Rheinmetall has further reinforced its already extensive expertise in the field of infantry fire support. The Group’s product range encompasses a complete array of 120mm, 81mm and 60mm mortar ammunition. Augmenting these are fire control systems and mortar weapon systems like the 120mm Ragnarök and the innovative RSG60, a 60mm mortar system.

Thanks to its enhanced range, heightened precision and optimum combat effectiveness, Rheinmetall mortar ammunition can assure favourable outcomes even during operations in difficult terrain and urban environments.

The latest order from the German government underscores Rheinmetall’s role as a leading supplier of indirect fire technology.
