Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
There were some pay increases and other changes made for Ukrainian military. I've listed the amount in USD and EUR next to each figure. "Thank you to all colleagues in the hall who cast 311 votes for bill #9342 regarding vacations and wages for our defenders. They worked on it with the military in the working group that I headed. As a result, decisions were reached, which were supported by the constitutional majority of Verkhovna Rada deputies on Constitution Day. Regarding salaries: - for participation in battles, servicemen are additionally paid monthly from 30,000 to 100,000 hryvnias. ($813 to $2708 | €746 to €2486) - seriously wounded during treatment, captured and missing - additional UAH 100,000; ($2708 | €2486) - wounded, who are placed under the command of the relevant commander, - an additional 20,100 hryvnias; ($544 | €500) - instructors - from 15,000 to 30,000 UAH; ($406 to $813 | €373 to €746) - conscripts - UAH 6,000; ($162 | €149) - cadets – UAH 2,350. ($64 | €58) Regarding holidays: - annual leave for military personnel increased from 10 to 30 days; - for cadets – 10 days of winter and an additional 20 days of summer vacation; - for conscripts - 30 days of vacation. In addition: - mobilized personnel who have not completed basic military training are not allowed to participate in hostilities. The period of basic military training cannot be less than one month. - conscripts may voluntarily be transferred to military service upon conscription during mobilization. Another draft law (No. 9238) settled the issue of registration and use of right-hand drive cars in the army, of which there are now many thanks to volunteers and help from abroad. Thank you all for your work and support of important bills for our military."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Hit white arrows next to my name for related posts. "Pleased to meet with the chief master sergeant of the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Magura" Valery Markus. The other day, I personally awarded the 47th separate mechanized brigade, but just today I met with Valery. It is very important to get first-hand information about the morale and fighting spirit of the military. Especially considering that the always brave fighters of "Magura" are now taking an active part in actions at the front. They discussed changes, the implementation of which in the Ukrainian army would really help to improve the service. Thanks to Valery for the suggestions regarding digitalization and the introduction of automated accounting systems, which will make it possible to spend less time on paper work and quickly receive the necessary information, of course, taking into account security forms. They discussed the reform of the sergeant corps, in particular, ensuring a decent salary level for sergeants in accordance with their service experience. Our army and all its components must be modern and equipped with everything necessary not only on the battlefield. @ valerii_markus, thanks for the meeting and for the chevrons! But more about them later." #zelenskyy

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
I can't access the article but found this summary: "France, Germany, Britain, and the United States will offer Ukraine security guarantees, the Financial Times reports. (https://www.ft.com/content/859f8e3a-...8-da48d199d776) They will be formalized in the form of bilateral agreements on long-term financing, military supplies, military training, and intelligence sharing. According to the FT, this plan was developed by France, which wants to send a "very clear political signal" to Ukraine and Russia. The newspaper writes that these guarantees will be a temporary solution to reassure Kyiv and give it confidence in the West's continued support. Ukraine, on the other hand, wants to receive clear commitments on Ukraine's full membership in NATO and to go through the accession process without the Action Plan stage, following the example of Finland." In early May, Russians built a dam on the outskirts of occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region. Bellingcat writes that it is located within the defense line that encircles the city. Because of the dam, the Tokmachka River has significantly expanded and flooded the surrounding fields - the water level on the eastern side of the dam is steadily rising, as can be seen on satellite images. Bellingcat suggests that the Russians are considering the tactic of flooding Tokmak to slow down the advance of Ukrainian troops.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
""Wagner" will no longer fight in Ukraine, says DIU chief Budanov "We have compromised the Russian leadership. The myth of the Russian regime's steadfastness has been destroyed once again. The Russian space forces suffered losses. Moreover, the Wagner PMC will no longer participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. This is the most effective unit of the Russian Federation, which was able to achieve success at any cost," he said. At the same time, Budanov added that Wagnerites are still present in the south of Ukraine and in occupied Luhansk, but they do not take part in hostilities." AND "Prigozhin did not fight for Moscow because of his "patriotic beliefs," Budanov added. "I hate to admit it, but Prigozhin is a patriot of Russia. Lukashenko and others were able to convince him that his actions would tear Russia apart. A similar situation could have arisen as we had in 2014, when Yanukovych shouted that he was "legitimate," the Ukrainian intelligence chief said." "What is a "ballistic trajectory"? And what other trajectories are there? A small guide to how Russian missiles fly."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
"⚠️ Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Kherson regions have started drills in case of an accident at ZNPP. The exercises are close to real-life events, practicing all possible scenarios, for example, that a radioactive cloud could reach any region of the country. Evacuation teams are working in each locality to move people to safe zones. Almost 200 additional police patrols are also working on the highways to ensure that there are no traffic jams and that evacuation vehicles can move freely." ""Wagner Private Military Company" is still recruiting fighters across Russia for the war in Ukraine. The BBC called dozens of recruitment centers in Russia. Everyone who answered confirmed that everything was working. Several people emphasized that new members sign contracts with the Wagner PMC, not the Russian Defense Ministry. On the map: Wagner's personnel offices, which are still open and insist that everything was working. The BBC has labeled Crimea and parts of four occupied regions of Ukraine as Russian territory. The quality of the map is poor, but it shows that Wagnerian recruiting centers are only in Crimea. At least that's what the BBC says."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
"Head of defense committee in Russian parliament Andrey Kartapolov says Wagnerites would not participate in combat actions in Ukraine anymore. He blames "Mr. Prigozhin" for only caring about money and his own ambitions. This information was confirmed by head of Ukrainian Intelligence Service Kyrylo Budanov."
