Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
I checked flightradar24 on this. The Russian plane landed today at Washington Dulles International at 2:08PM, assuming that's eastern standard time. This is the same type of aircraft that Putin flies in, IL-96-300. Not saying it's him but my curiosity is intense currently. Who/what is this And previous flights for this aircraft 3,4 days ago were to India, Vietnam Edit: Putin and other high levels of leadership fly on IL-96-300PU https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/ra-96018 |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Yeahno. But I could believe that it was a jet being sent to pick up some pallets of cash. With Russia appearing to lose its steam on the battlefield, I wouldn’t be shocked to see that our president reallocated some money to plus-up the orcs to keep them in the fight. I mean, who could forget this: |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Turns out it was was duntez stated. Russian government plane flies to Washington to ferry diplomats back to Moscow as Wagner tensions grow 27 June 2023 | 14:09 ET A Russian government plane has flown to Washington DC to ferry key diplomats back to Moscow amid rising tensions between Russia and the West, i can reveal. The Russian long-haul airliner forms part of Vladimir Putin’s special flight squadron – his presidential fleet – used to transport the Russian president and his government officials. The flight to the US took off from Moscow at 9.27 am GMT on Tuesday and took an obscure route avoiding EU airspace, deciding instead to wrap around the northern tip of Norway, according to public flight data. A US State Department spokesperson confirmed to i the flight was due to bring Russian US-based diplomats back to Moscow. They said: “The US government has allowed the Russian government to send a charter flight to the United States to transport to Russia those Russian diplomats whose assignments have ended. “We also maintain strict reciprocity with Russia regarding special transport missions for diplomatic personnel and cargo.” On their return, the diplomats will be able to brief senior Moscow spy chiefs on the latest thinking in Washington relating to Wagner’s aborted coup and Putin’s position. A former senior US intelligence official said the plane may also be carrying replacement diplomats, including potential intelligence agents, to the US. “I believe this flight will have diplomats and agents that will first meet with their counterparts in their Washington DC embassy,” the official told i. The intelligence official, who spent decades identifying Russian agents for the US government, said “if deemed appropriate” the Russian diplomats would schedule “high-level diplomatic meetings” with the US State Department. “We will just have to wait and see.” The Russian government plane was due to land at Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday evening, where US authorities were understood to be monitoring any potential arrivals. The flight comes days after Yegveny Prigozhin launched a rebellion against the Russian military. The former US intelligence official said the Prigozhin debacle had forced Russia to come to the table and speak with the Western countries over the war in Ukraine. “The events of the past 48 hours have opened a crack in diplomacy,” they said. “This plane coming to the US may just be a result of that.” A serving UK intelligence officer working with the UK government believes it is likely the plane is bringing Russian representatives to the US for diplomatic talks. The official told i the US needs to “hammer home the point” that the West played no part in the saga. “We do not want to feed a narrative that all this is a US/Natoinspired plot,” they said. “Clear and, where appropriate, public statements to the contrary reduces the risk.” In light of the failed rebellion by Wagner Group boss Yegveny Prigozhin, the US and UK have reiterated they played no part in the uprising. The UK’s Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, said in a statement on Sunday that the British Government monitored events “as the situation unfolded,” and had “been in close touch with our Allies.” Mr Cleverly added that the Government considers the rebellion “an internal Russian affair, and of course, the leadership of Russia is a matter exclusively for the Russian people.” He said: “The Russian government’s lies have been exposed by one of President Putin’s own henchmen.” Mr Cleverly said he had been in touch with his US counterpart Secretary of State Antony Blinken while the Prime Minister had spoken with US President Joe Biden.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
"Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that Ukraine is no longer a sovereign state, as it has become dependent on Western support, in particular, the will of the United States. He said this in an interview with the German newspaper Bild. Orban said that he favors an early ceasefire in Ukraine. At the same time, he said, he knows that Ukraine's leadership wants to liberate all the territories occupied by Russia. Orban on the Wagner mutiny: This event does not matter "But what really matters is what the Americans want to do. Ukraine is no longer a sovereign state. They have no money. They have no weapons. They can only fight because we support them in the West. So if the Americans decide that they want peace, there will be peace," the Hungarian prime minister said. Orban said that the belief in Ukraine's ability to win the war is a complete misunderstanding of the situation."
