Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Svatove, Luhansk oblast. Reports of the 4th Tank Division of the RAF suffering its heaviest defeat in history. They planned to use tanks on a large scale to break through the Ukrainian defense however, the AFU FPV drones had other plans. Most of the tanks were destroyed. So far, no visual footage of this yet, just maps.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Zelenskyy replaces Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov. Article one source: https://www.npr.org/2023/09/03/11975...merov-reznikov Ukraine's Zelenskyy says defense minister will be replaced this week September 3, 20238:31 PM ET By The Associated Press KYIV, Ukraine — Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday that defense minister Oleksii Reznikov will be replaced this week with Rustem Umerov, a Crimean Tatar lawmaker. Zelenskyy made the announcement on his official Telegram account, writing that new leadership was needed after Reznikov went through "more than 550 days of full-scale war." Later in his nightly address, Zelenskyy said he believes "that the Ministry needs new approaches and different formats of interaction both with the military and with society." "The Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine is well acquainted with this person, and Umerov does not require additional introductions. I expect support for this candidacy from parliament," the president told the nation. Umerov, 41, a politician with the opposition Holos party, has served as head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine since September 2022. He was involved in the exchange of prisoners of war, political prisoners, children and civilians, as well as the evacuation of civilians from occupied territories. Umerov was also part of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with Russia over the U.N.-backed grain deal. In August, a scandal arose around the Ministry of Defense's procurement of military jackets. Ukrainian investigative journalists reported that the materials were purchased at a price three times higher than normal and that instead of winter jackets, summer ones were ordered. In the customs documents from the supplier, the jackets were priced at $29 per unit, but the Ministry of Defense paid $86 per unit. Reznikov denied the allegations during a news conference last week. U.S. President Joe Biden told reporters in Delaware on Sunday that he's aware Zelenskyy had replaced his defense chief. Asked if he had any comment, Biden said, "not publicly." Zelenskyy's announcement came after two people were hospitalized following a 3½-hour Russian drone barrage on a port in Ukraine's Odesa region on Sunday, officials said. Article two source: https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...f=upstract.com Rustem Umerov: who is Ukraine’s next defence minister? Sun 3 Sep 2023 21.03 EDT Rustem Umerov, who is set to become Ukraine’s new defence minister, is a leading member of the Crimean Tatar community who has represented his country in sensitive negotiations with Russia. Umerov was born in Soviet Uzbekistan, the country his family was exiled to under Stalin, and moved back to Crimea in Ukraine as a child when the Tatars were allowed to return in the 1980s and 1990s. The 41-year-old Muslim started out in the telecoms business in 2004 and was elected to parliament in 2019. There he served as co-chair of the Crimea Platform, an international diplomatic effort aimed at reversing Russia’s 2014 annexation of the peninsula. He has worked for years as an adviser to the historic leader of the Crimean Tatars, Mustafa Dzhemilev. Russia wrested control of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and pushed through a referendum on the annexation that was condemned as illegitimate by Ukraine and its western allies. The Tatar community, which accounted for 12-15% of Crimea’s two million residents, largely boycotted the vote. Moscow then banned the Mejlis – the traditional assembly of the Tatar Muslim minority – declaring it an extremist organisation and has jailed members of the community since, citing security concerns. “Russian propagandists invented the narrative of dividing the Ukrainian nation into ethnics to justify their military actions on the territory of our country,” Umerov told Jordanian news site AmmanNet in an interview last year. “We do not feel any chauvinism or islamophobia [in Ukraine] regarding our ethnicity or religion.” Both after the annexation and after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Umerov has taken part in behind-the-scenes talks with Russian officials, including negotiating high-profile prisoner exchanges, and evacuations of civilians. He was part of Ukraine’s delegation in negotiations with Russia in the first weeks of the war and participated in talks on establishing an export corridor for Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. Russia has since pulled out of the grain deal, accusing Ukraine and its allies of failing to uphold a part of the agreement to facilitate Russian exports. In September last year he was named head of the State Property Fund – a particularly tough role in Ukraine where the process of privatisation has been plagued by corruption. In his video statement announcing the replacement on Sunday, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said MPs would be called to vote on Umerov’s nomination this week. The parliament “knows this person well and Mr Umerov does not need any additional introductions”, he said. VIDEO: "This week, the Parliament will be offered to make a personnel decision. I want to outline it now. I have decided to replace the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Oleksiy Reznikov has gone through more than 550 days of full-scale war. I believe that the Ministry needs new approaches and other formats of interaction with both the military and society at large. Now Rustem Umerov should lead the Ministry. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine knows this person well, and Mr. Umerov does not need any additional introductions. I expect the Parliament to support this candidate. Autumn is a time for strengthening. Glory to Ukraine!" #zelenskyy #highprofile

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
So far just this but I can look a little more tonight when I get back online. The second screenshot is definitely a Russian source. The first looks like it could be Ukrainian source, but I got it from a Russian source. Might be Russian based on the way they spelled settlement names. I'm not sure

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
"By the end of the year, we will have a huge supply of trucks and armored SUVs, which are always needed at the front. Belgium will supply Ukraine with about 320 additional Volvo army trucks, as well as 80 Iveco Lynx armored vehicles. This is not the first transfer. Before that, Belgium had already handed over 150 Volvo N10 trucks."
