Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Greece will help train Ukrainian F-16 warplane pilots and assist the reconstruction of Odesa, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Monday. "Today we have an important result for the air coalition: Greece will take part in training our pilots on F-16s. Thank you for this offer," Zelensky told media alongside Mitsotakis on an official visit to Athens. Kyiv on Friday welcomed a US decision to let Denmark and the Netherlands hand F-16 fighter jets over to Ukraine once its pilots are trained to use them. Training by an 11-nation coalition is to begin this month, and officials hope pilots will be ready by early 2024. Greece has been a strong supporter of Ukraine since Russia's invasion, providing humanitarian aid and weapons including infantry fighting vehicles, Kalashnikov assault rifles, launchers and ammunition. Mitsotakis on Monday said Greece would "be present in the titanic effort to reconstruct and rebuild" Ukraine, with "particular emphasis on Odesa." Although Ukraine is desperately asking for modern tanks, specifically the Leopards, many countries responded to the request negatively, such as Greece. Greece's decision was revealed in a statement Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his official visit to Japan who said "we cannot give Leopard-2 because they are absolutely necessary for our own defence strategy." The decision by Mitsotakis is a blow to the hopes of Ukraine as Greece has the most Leopards in Europe. More specifically, the Greek Army has approximately 350 Leopard 2 and 500 Leopard 1 tanks. In fact, sources reveal that there is a program to modernise a large number of tanks - among them 180 Leopard 2 A4s and all 500 Leopard 1 A5s - which will be considered after the elections and will significantly upgrade their capabilities. Greece is also one of the countries with the most F16 ******* with over 152 F-16's, along with 44 Dassault Mirage 2000 and 54 F4 Phanton II updated. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
In a collaborative special report from Scripps News and Bellingcat, new details emerge about the covert movement of valuable grain by Russian ships from occupied Ukraine to global ports, often bypassing international sanctions. On June 24, 2023, the Mikhail Nenashev, a Russian cargo ship, was captured in satellite imagery in Crimea, loading grain from Ukrainian lands under Russian control. From Crimea to Turkey, and finally to Iran, the Nenashev's journey reveals a systematic, years-long Russian effort to profit from Ukraine's vital grain resources, affecting the global grain market. Using marine traffic data, satellite imagery, and extensive research, this video uncovers the complex web of shipping routes that enable Russian vessels to evade conventional tracking methods. Working alongside research firm Lloyd’s List Intelligence, Scripps News and Bellingcat have identified numerous suspect ships operating since the invasion began, expanding Russian influence in the Black Sea. This is an insightful and comprehensive look into a secretive trade that's reshaping global dynamics, and understand how Russia's concealed operations are robbing Ukraine of one of its most valuable assets. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
Ukrainian forces repelled a company sized assault just north of Spirne which was attempted by Russian forces. In the process of repelling the assault at least 10 armoured vehicles of various types along with assault groups were destroyed. Ukrainian forces are repelling several large assaults north east of Kup'yans'k sector around the town of Syn'kivka the main positional battles occur on the northern flanks of the town where heavy fighting continues. Ukrainian artillery hit and destroyed a large ammunition depot of Russian forces south west of Karmazynivka along with several logistics vehicles. |

"Over the past week, the Defense Forces liberated another three square kilometers in the Bakhmut area, reports Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar. Thus, Ukrainian troops have liberated 43 square kilometers around Bakhmut." "Ministry of Defense: Ukrainian troops succeeded southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia. Russians failed to regain lost ground east of Robotyne. "Planned combat operations" are underway there." "❗️❗️The price of headlines about where the 82nd Brigade was moved to in the south: 5 air strikes on the brigade in a day - Defense Ministry. On August 15, Forbes reported that the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade, a 2,000-strong force equipped with Marder and Stryker combat vehicles and Challenger 2 tanks, had entered combat in the area of Robotyno in southern Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region." VIDEO: "In Kyiv, destroyed Russian military equipment has been put on display on Khreshchatyk Street, Suspilne TV reports. About 20 units have already been brought there, including tanks, self-propelled howitzers, armored personnel carriers, and more. The "parade" of destroyed equipment is being put on display for Ukraine's Independence Day."

Video 1: "❗️Sensitive content "We were transported on a truck, tied, together with Russian corpses and ammunition boxes. Then, Russian soldiers beat me up for six hours and shot one of th3 prisoners." Oleksiy Anulia, CIS kickboxing champion, member of the Ukrainian National Guards, shared with Vlad Osechkin from Gulagu. Net about the horrors he has experienced and witnessed in Russian captivity. Please note that this is a very difficult video to watch. I share this because the world must know. Oleksiy was exchanged last year, and is now safe. But there are thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in Russian captivity going through hell every day." Video 2: "❗️Sensitive content "Russian soldiers tried to rape me and made me eat chevrons of the Ukrainian Army. All this time, they were burning the bodies of their own soldiers nearby" - Oleksiy Anulia, CIS kickboxing champion, member of the Ukrainian National Guards, shared with vlad_Osechkin from Gulagu. Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II
I wonder if the prison guards wore masks. If not, it's possible to find them after the war and serve them the sweet justice they deserve. If someone did something like that to me, then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully until I had found those savages and broken a bone or ten in their bodies. |
