Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
Ukrainian intelligence has compiled a report on the tactics and effectiveness of Russian mercenaries from the Wagner PMC, CNN reports. They have an extremely strict discipline and do not pay attention to losses, which is why they succeed. The document, drawn up in December 2022, says that Wagner's men pose a serious threat at close range. Assault groups do not retreat without a command. If they retreat, they face execution or painful death. One of the mercenaries had his genitals cut off for a failed attempt to surrender. Tens of thousands of mercenaries are often used in the first wave of an attack, and they suffer the greatest losses - up to 80%. They are followed by more experienced fighters. If Wagner PMC forces manage to take a position, artillery support allows them to dig trenches and gain a foothold. However, according to intercepts, coordination between Wagner's forces and the Russian military is often lacking.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
Zelensky responds to Lukashenko on 'non-aggression pact' Ukraine has not planned to attack Belarus before and does not plan to do so now, and considers it important that Belarus does not lose its independence and does not join the shameful war unleashed by Russia. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö in Kyiv. "We were not going to and are not going to attack Belarus. This is the main signal from the entire Ukrainian people to the Belarusian people. It is very important for us that Belarus does not lose its independence and does not enter into this absolutely shameful war, despite any influence from anyone," the head of state said. Asked whether Ukraine had actually offered Belarus a so-called "non-aggression pact," he said: "Everything that Ukraine officially offers, you hear it all."
