Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
This pocket north of the Dnepr River is melting quickly. If its shrinking below a certain size UKR can hammer it from all directions with artillery and turn it into a deathtrap for all RU inside. I don't get why they're not retreating to the southern bank of the Dnepr. Its still time for a tactical retreat. The Dnepr would be perfect for a new defensive line until reinforcements arrive. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
Yeah, the ZSU are finding weak spots on front lines and exploiting them. Break through, push far and send your reserves in to hold what you've already captured. Do this on two sides and watch the enemy pocket in the middle fold because they fear encirclement. IMO Russians don't want another Kharkiv offensive, so they're more motivated to not just up and retreat. Kremlin is probably hammering their senior/junior officers with prison if their guys retreat perhaps. Kherson also has more troops and fortifications than Kharkiv did. There was little movement last night as it would seem, which makes sense as the closer to Kherson you get, the more intense the Russian fortifications get. We'll see how this plays out |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
Meanwhile in Europe: "What do QRH and @ RoyalTankRegt have in common? Challenger 2 of course - amongst a few other things. What we also share is the future of Armour in the form of Challenger 3! Once delivered it will be the most lethal and survivable tank in @ NATO It brings with it Two new types of Armour - EPSOM, which will replace CHOBHAM and FARNHAM that replaces DORCHESTER. EPSOM is a brand new modular Armour that can be tailored to meet today's, and tomorrow's, threats! As well as this it brings with it an Active Protection System (APS), the current system under test being TROPHY MV. This will allow the tank to defend itself against things like Rocket Propelled Grenades (an others). There a few more things that help it survive but now we'll look at the new 120mm (L55A1) smoothbore main gun that can use NATO standard ammunition. This means we have access to a much larger family of projectiles allowing us to defeat more targets, quicker. But if you're going to shoot, you have to be stable! As part of a host of upgrades to the Hull (the bottom bit of the tank) we are getting new Hydrogas suspension (3rd Generation). This allows us to travel quicker, further and in a more stable manner across country. But what makes the tank a real battle winner? It is the crew! The driver, gunner, operator and commander!"

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
The gestational period of the mother HIMARS is unknown at this time. But it is known that baby HIMARS are completely self sustaining at birth without any further nurturing or care by mommy HIMARS. Baby HIMARS is also a formidable killer. It's just so cute, isn't it?
