I was thinking about this bloke in the prisons recruiting prisoners. I take it these must be proper lifers who will die in prison being given the chance to get out for six months service. Sounds to me like a suicide mission anyway if he really is telling them. They have two grenades. To use on themselves if they get caught.

What a choice. Life in prison or. Six months as cannon fodder with the promise of release of you survive.

The second Suicide Squad was actually really good! But yeah it is basically the plot of that movie. I think the criminals will want to do it because it gives them a chance to turn things around. Prisons are often crowded as it is already

Newsweek identified the guy recruiting prisoners in that video, as "Yevgeny Prigozkin", the Russian billionaire who is behind the "Wagner" group and is the main financier of the group.

Another guy who desperately needs a car bomb.

Or to fall out of a window after feeling "depressed", like all the other buddies of Putin who now have a very short life expectancy.

British Intelligence is reporting that members of the Wagner group are pretty resentful of the normal Russian troops, in that they feel that as members of the Wagner group, they are expected to do the hardest fighting, and are the most sacrificial of the Russian troops, whereas regular Russian troops main desire is to stay out of the line of fire, and survive until this all comes to an end.

(There is a video here of a Wagner guy ripping on Russian National Guard Troops at some hotel, with the result that the RNG troops beat the crap out of him.)

Short answer, they don't. They probably run the unit with non-convicts at the top who will punish deserters, but most likely I imagine they would rely on how it's a chance to actually be a hero, redeem yourself, etc. In some cases they might actually enjoy killing people so they'll stay to legally do so.

But what lose is it anyway if they run away really?

That’s what I don’t understand. Heres a group of the sickest vilest people running around enjoying the killing they are doing told that if they retreat they will die so kill everything in site you think is the enemy.

BUT

You mustn’t drink,take drugs or rape any poor innocent women or children flower or fauna.

What decent psychopath/serial killer worth his salt is going to do that.

I guess maybe they think if they do they can go back to Russia a hero with a clean record, disappear back into society and start serial killing again only this time try not to get caught.

Who said they were all Serial killers? Some got crazy seeing his wife getting fucked by a neighbor in result - both killed, some got wasted and killed someone in a fight accidently, drunk driver hit a child etc etc etc. why Would you think all of them serial killers, rapists, psychos. Did you know that Ukr president ordered to free those in jails since day one pretty much? Including giving weapons to the citizens without background check? If anything there are way much more crazy people with guns in UA right now and this squad of prisoners deff will not evens it out.
After all, it’s a war. Letting prisoners fight for their freedom been around the history for way to long to judge anyone at this point
