lol, you "protect our freedom" and all that, but you really sound like the army stereotype. "all are fun". That just sounds like what the cannon fodder in movies like Black Hawk Down would say, lol. But thanks for the insight! US guns are the best |

Re: Ten Marines & A Humvee Hit By An I.E.D.
why did you put "protect our freedom" in quotes? is it for political reasons or do you not believe that i am a Marine? or would you have also preferred that i elaborated more on each weapon system? and i dont necessarily agree that US guns are the best. they require an insane amount of maintenance to ensure they function properly and are made by the lowest bidder. not exactly qualifications that put you in a category labeled "best" when they are working properly however they are effective. user friendly, they are not. you will get owned by them if you do not know what you are doing. |

Re: Ten Marines & A Humvee Hit By An I.E.D.
First if you are a Marine i thank you for your service. People like you allow this great nation the ability to use and live by our United States Constitution. For that you have my Gratitude! The weapon in this case AK -47 is not better or worse(for the most part) it always comes down to the user. If you get the right AK it is durable to no end(refer to the most part LOL). The reason I say this is that many of my friends that have done tours in both theaters say they would pick up and use them in combat. so to say we dont carry them is only Technically correct. Again thank you for your service. God Bless America. (sorry Am feeling a little Patriotic.) |

Re: Ten Marines & A Humvee Hit By An I.E.D.
in that case definitely. infantry have the option to do such things in the heat of battle. im in a security platoon and getting them to allow me to put a 4-16x tactical scope on my A4 is like pulling teeth even though i have my plt co's approval and there are countless advantages from standoff to detecting ied's. i also would like to say that rereading my post made it sound like i have a dislike for our weapon systems. that isnt so, i do love the 240 Bravo as you can see in the pic i have a belt of 7.62 around my neck that went down to my feet. that was in 29 palms during training. that instrument of death and destruction is my baby. i also love my A4, as long as i keep her clean and lubed with a little bit of CLP she fires for me every single time! |
