First if you are a Marine i thank you for your service. People like you allow this great nation the ability to use and live by our United States Constitution. For that you have my Gratitude! The weapon in this case AK -47 is not better or worse(for the most part) it always comes down to the user. If you get the right AK it is durable to no end(refer to the most part LOL). The reason I say this is that many of my friends that have done tours in both theaters say they would pick up and use them in combat. so to say we dont carry them is only Technically correct. Again thank you for your service. God Bless America. (sorry Am feeling a little Patriotic.) |

in that case definitely. infantry have the option to do such things in the heat of battle. im in a security platoon and getting them to allow me to put a 4-16x tactical scope on my A4 is like pulling teeth even though i have my plt co's approval and there are countless advantages from standoff to detecting ied's. i also would like to say that rereading my post made it sound like i have a dislike for our weapon systems. that isnt so, i do love the 240 Bravo as you can see in the pic i have a belt of 7.62 around my neck that went down to my feet. that was in 29 palms during training. that instrument of death and destruction is my baby. i also love my A4, as long as i keep her clean and lubed with a little bit of CLP she fires for me every single time! |
