The British were running death squads at the same (google it if you are naive) so the IRA were well within reason - the reason of war - to be wary of any British soldier. Plus IRA funerals had been attacked by loyalists (google it, etc.) so again there was not acting irrationally. Plus what idiot pulls out a gun at an IRA funeral? Of all the people who would not be scared of it these are those guys as you can see when people literally run toward them even after the guy shouts gun. I've never felt bad for any soldier who was there. They pillaged the place in contemporary fashion. Play with fire and sometimes you will get burned. |

Reputable links or be quiet. What I find amusing about Americas involvement in the troubles, is how some people had a great grandfather that went over during the potato famine so they call themselves Irish, you're not Irish. Neither does having a distant Irish relative make you a world authority on a very complex issue...pfttttttttttt. When are people going to get it in their heads that a United Ireland is doable, nobody is stopping the Irish wanting a referendum. The Scots just had one and they stayed put. |

Oh so to you some peoples lives are more important than others. It's funny if the person is from a developing country but this is probably a bit too close to home for you. Well Belfast was my home back then and I don't pick and chose whose lives are less significant than others. Maybe yours is though you ignorant fuck.

served in N.I in 05 south armagh after the real troubles but these fuckers are a real bunch of cunts, not sure what the signallers were doing driving into a funeral possession but clearly they learnt the hard way, to this day i'm not sure why they only fired 1 warning shot, I served in the paras and there is no way if I was in the same situation I would be firing warning shoots, they were in their rules of engagement after the initial warning shot to shoot to kill, fuck I would have not climbed out but just fired through the fucking window at them
