My advice would be, try to draw a line between hating the religion of a person and hating the person himself.

Most muslims didnt chose to be muslims, they were indoctrinated into it as children, just like people from all the other religions.

Proof that hating Islam is reasonable? Proof is in the history. Muslims kill and conquer neighboring non-muslims, they kill other muslims from different factions. Their cult demands subjugation or murder of women, non-muslims, apostates( who are just intelligent smart people ). Their religion is completely against free speech and western values in general. So...hating it is perfectly reasonable.

If people chose their religion, then there would be very weak correlation between the religion of parents and the religion of their children. The reality shows that this is not the case. There is almost a causal link between what the parents believe and what the child believes. It's also a fact that almost all religious people( not just muslims ) were indoctrinated as children and made to believe in the crazy stuff even before they were 7 year olds. If you let a person grow up, without ever mentioning religions to them, and then tell them about all the religions when they are in their teens/adults, they laugh at all the religions and reject them for the obvious scams that they are.
So, 99% of the reason why someone is a muslim is because of geography and because their parents were muslims. The content of the unholy book is completely irrelevant. If the parents give a kid some other unholy book, then the kid will believe that and still "talk to god" and "feel his presence" even though it's a completely wrong god.
If some religion were true, then everyone would believe in it, just like everyone believes in math. There is no muslim math, christian math, scientology math and soo on. Muslims, christians, scientologists, mormons, hindus and zoroastrians all believe that 1 + 1 = 2, regardless of where they were born. Because it's the truth. Truth is not bound by geography or your birth circumstances. Truth is convergent. It doesn't matter where someone's starting point is when they start looking for the truth. They will all slowly converge on the same answer. All fingers will start to point in the same direction.

Lies on the other hand, are divergent. 1 lie becomes 2, 2 becomes 4, inconsistencies and conflicts will grow and so on.
Men speaking for god is an obvious lie. 1 guy spoke for 1 god who wanted X. Then another guy spoke for a different god who wanted Y, then another one spoke for some other god. All different gods, wanting different things. All religious factions ever do is diverge and splinter off into smaller factions, which fight over their "truth".
