We have a variant of Halloween here as well, where kids dress up and go hunting for candy. Actually, we have 2 variants for this day. One for boys and one for girls. Didn't know that other countries had the same tradition.

Also, Christmas itself is practically a pagan holiday. It has nothing to do with the Jesus's character from thebooks. I think even the entire modern concept of christian hell was mostly copied from pagan mythology as well. The hell in the bible is not a place for torture or punishment, the hell in Norse mythology, however, was. Its interesting how the mythologies of different cultures have mixed and morphed over the centuries.

Ah, Religion, the great divider of ppl through the ages as you change one word in a sentence & it takes on a whole new meaning, to the page.
Imagine the changes that have taken place through the millennia with each new bible or facts & dif interpretations about religion being handed down thus changing the story telling over n over n over until the actual truth or point is lost in translation & all it ends up doing is confusing the fuck out of ppl, hence all the different factions claiming that there god is the correct god ect & are willing to spill blood over it as we have seen & continue to see with the latest fighting in Gaza.

Have you ever stopped to wonder if in fact the Devil / Satan wrote the bible to inflict division & divide the ppl rather than bring them together as demons feed off negative energy & religion is one of the most fought about subjects through the ages & it brings or creates, if you will, a whole lot of grief with the divide & conquer method of things that it has seen whole civilizations being wiped out because of it, & as such, it's creating a negative energy soup that feeds these demonic fuckers with no end in sight as they love the shit & create a whole new religion, version or interpretation of the bible with just a few word changes that create another faction that disagrees with the other n so on.
Every culture has its own god, bible, deity, & they can't all be right, so they fight, look at gaza now, look at history's religious clashes n you will see that religion is behind 99% of conflict involving combat, yet religion say's that we must have faith that everything will be alright & to love your brother ect, & if you believe in the bible it will save you ect yet it's been shown through the ages that it does no such thing, as there's still hostility between the factions that fight about it yet they worship the love your brother ect, piece be upon you ect ect ect, n when they leave the church they go n cut someone's head off in the name of allah or shoot some fucker cause he believes in a dif god ect & it creates so much hatred as we are seeing so all religion is doing is feeding these evil fuckers who prey on the weak n venerable as that's there thing man, nothing else matters to them, they come in the guise of religious fundamentalists preaching shit all the while hiding behind a book asking for money to support their crusade & waring with other fundamentalists about who's got the better god to the point of armed conflict.

I suppose some ppl need a god, some deity to enslave them as it gives them hope, albeit false hope, but hope non the less, as some ppl are very week individuals n can't think or act without someone holding their hand as the holy spin off continues through the eons.

The Fact vs Fiction Method using Religion, backed up by a book or scroll, is a great tool for the enslavement of the human race.
