Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
the top one is how the big news story all week was the submersible submarine near the titanic that imploded with those 5 people... then the big story this weekend was the Prigozhin thing. You know how sometimes people play "experts" on the internet. The second one is from in the beginning of the invasion... the US offered to get Zelenskyy out of Ukraine to safety. He said "I don't need a ride, I need ammo".

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
Prediction: Prigozhin is going to take Belarus. I don't know. I have a weird, unsettled feeling about all of this. Was all of this a ruse? Was Putin in on it as a way to distract from the war in Ukraine? He forgave Prigozhin awfully easily. Either that or he just said whatever he needed to say to get it to end and there is a window already in Prigozhin's future. But either way, this only makes Putin appear weak. Did this cause Putin to realize that maybe he hasn't been getting the full picture on the war from his top generals? Why was Prigozhin so quick to fold? Why would he let out prisoners from Rostov to recruit within his ranks? Did that actually happen? Why did he call on members of the regular Russian army to switch to his sides. Why did all those Russian forces and regular citizens seem to support him only for him to just throw in the towel so suddenly? Do he and Lukashenko have more of a connection that we know? Are they both going to collude to take Putin out? Lukashenko comes across to me as a bitch boy to Putin. Nothing but a puppet. Is he also tired of kissing the ring? I don't know, I'm thinking out loud. There is just something off about all this that I can't put my finger on. My gut is insisting there is way more to it. That could also be due to the fact that in general, I don't believe a word that anyone in authority in Russia says.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
"In February 2022, Ukraine's military and political leadership remained in Kyiv despite missile attacks, airborne assaults, and the invasion of a Russian armada of several hundred thousand. In June 2023, the entire military and political leadership of Russia immediately fled Moscow, frightened by 25,000 of its own mercenaries. Feel the difference."

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
Well to be honest Wagners were walking towards Rostov or Moscow freely, while peeps in Kyev were behind their army that was fighting Russians like there is no tomorrow. That’s the difference |
