You keep saying she's "from Ukraine", a "Ukrainian journalist" and a "Ukrainian patriot"? REALLY? She may have been born in Ukraine... but she is not a patriot of Ukraine if she's pro-Russian. Those two things are mutually exclusive.

It's not a matter of "liking it" or not... it's a matter calling you out on, once again, misrepresenting of who she is in order to make her seem innocent in Zelensky ousting her. She's not and now she's sanctioned, banned from the country for 10 years and being investigated for treason. If you think it's wrong... see the last two sentences of the previous paragraph.

In February 2021, after Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky imposed sanctions against Taras Kozak, owner of the pro-Russian TV channels NewsOne, ZIK and 112 Ukraine, which led to the termination of broadcasting of these media, Panchenko and several employees of these channels moved to the First Independent TV channel. Panchenko is the ultimate beneficial owner of 99% of the shares of Media Holding News LLC, which carries out the activity of broadcasting First Independent.

During her time at Ukraine’s most famous TV channel, NewsOne, journalist Diana Panchenko has never been shy about expressing what she really thinks about relations between Russia and Ukraine. Panchenko openly supported pro-Russian views and refused to call the war with Russia a war. She denied that there is a Putinist interpretation of the Minsk agreements and was indignant that “the rhetoric of the Ukrainian authorities towards Russia has not changed.

A pro-Russian journalist compared Russophobia to anti-Semitism. She suggested that politicians who support the Minsk agreements be brought into the government in order to “refute Russia’s arguments about Nazism. Diana Panchenko actively criticized President Zelensky, attended banned events, and actively tried to defend the rights of propaganda channels banned in Ukraine.

One of these “forbidden” events was the music festival “Slavic Bazaar,” held annually in Belarus. In 2021, many self-respecting Ukrainian artists refused to take part in the contest, but Ukrainian TV host Diana Panchenko accepted the offer to host “Slavyanski Bazaar” in Belarus, saying that she: “I am honored to open the festival as a presenter together with my colleagues from Russia and Belarus.

Panchenko accepted an offer from Putin’s puppet to participate in a propaganda event held mostly with Russian money, and there is nothing surprising here, since Panchenko’s pro-Russian position was very well established at the time.

In an interview in 2020, Panchenko said that Russia is a fraternal nation. In 2021, the odious journalist said she wanted to go to Russia and saw nothing wrong with that.

Full-scale invasion:
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Panchenko spread a fake on her show that Biden had allegedly ordered Ukraine to invade Donbass and intimidated Ukrainians with the might of the Russian army. In 2023, the SBU opened a pre-trial investigation of Panchenko over her trip to occupied Donetsk and Mariupol to film a propaganda report about the life of Donbas residents after the occupation.

The scandalous journalist runs her own YouTube channel, as well as a Telegram channel, where every day under her posts one can see approving comments from the same pro-Russian target audience, as well as comments from Russian residents in support of “Putin’s regime” in Ukraine.

In addition to her attractive appearance, Ukrainian anchorwoman and journalist Diana Panchenko is remembered by all Ukrainians for her vivid pro-Russian stance and anti-Ukrainian propaganda activities. Diana Panchenko, like other fellow propagandists, tries to manipulate public opinion by relaying the ideas of “Russian peace” in Ukraine. The question of punishing journalist Panchenko for such subversive activities against Ukraine is still open, but it certainly bodes well for the fair outcome of the open treason investigation.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on Diana Panchenko, the former host of the TV channel 112 Ukraine and banned her from entering Ukraine for 10 years.
This is stated in the corresponding decree, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

With this decree, Zelenskyy implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to apply personal sanctions to 198 people.

According to the decree, the restrictive measures concern:

1) blocking of assets - temporary deprivation of the right to use and dispose of assets belonging to an individual or legal entity, as well as assets with respect to which such a person can directly or indirectly perform actions identical in content to the exercise of the right to dispose of them;

2) restriction of trade operations (complete termination);

3) restriction, partial or complete cessation of transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine (complete cessation);

4) prevention of withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine;

5) suspension of economic and financial obligations;

6) cancellation or suspension of licenses and other permits, the receipt (availability) of which is a condition for carrying out a certain type of activity, in particular, cancellation or suspension of special permits for subsoil use;

7) prohibition of participation in privatization, leasing of state property by residents of a foreign state and persons directly or indirectly controlled by residents of a foreign state or acting in their interests;

8) prohibition or restriction of entry of foreign non-military vessels and warships into the territorial sea of Ukraine, its internal waters, ports and aircraft into the airspace of Ukraine or landing on the territory of Ukraine (complete prohibition);

9) full or partial prohibition of transactions with respect to securities, the issuers of which are persons to whom sanctions have been applied in accordance with this Law (full prohibition);

10) prohibition of transfer of technologies, rights to objects of intellectual property rights;

11) termination of cultural exchanges, scientific cooperation, educational and sports contacts, entertainment programs with foreign states and foreign legal entities;

12) refusal to grant and cancellation of visas to residents of foreign countries, application of other bans on entering the territory of Ukraine;

13) deprivation of state awards of Ukraine, other forms of recognition;

14) prohibition on acquiring ownership of land plots.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SSU opened a case against the ex-host of the TV channel 112 Ukraine Panchenko for justifying the aggression of the Russian Federation.

It’s mind blowing how you, an American, going to tell me who’s real patriot of Ukraine is. This is the problem of this country, you always tell other people in other countries who’s legit and who’s not. Who you and western media support they are legit and others side is doomed. We are Ukrainians too, we have a voice, we have a rights and we love our history and culture. You cannot be ok with what Russia is doing and be a Ukrainian patriot. Period. That is my opinion and I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about it.

As I told someone else in here two days ago, when even the basic fundamental principles cannot be agreed upon, there's nothing to talk about.

But that doesn't mean I'm not going to speak my mind here about some of manipulative bullshit that gets said and posted in here.

The counteroffensive has barely begun. It's only been about 2 weeks. Not sure where you're getting your information that it's grounded to a halt. Wherever that is, it's wrong.

This isn't going to be like the counteroffensive to retake Kharkiv or the one in October/November to liberate Kherson. Those were each one area. There are multiple fronts and multiple offensives going on simultaneously right now.

If anyone thinks this was supposed to be some huge event that only takes a week... you either watch too much TV, aren't paying attention to what's happening on the ground, or are listening to Russian sources. Perhaps all of the above.

5 Russian helicopters in 8 days. 29 Russian bases and ammo depots destroyed. Thousands of Russian losses, sometimes whole companies at a time. 100-200 Russians waiting around for their commander to show up for some speech, in the same spot are shelled. Then you have video of Russian soldiers being shot by their own for retreating. If this is what "Russia is winning" looks like, I'd hate to see what them losing looks like.

As someone else said, this is a marathon. Not a 100 yard dash.
