Russian responses to the offensive activity in Zaporizhia is a carbon copy of the Kherson and Kharkiv offensives last year. Ukrainian side is largely silent and Russians are acting like it's all been crushed.

The failed ukrainian attack is a facepalm. They were shouting for more help from our governments, we gave them the help and they FUCKED IT UP. Why help them if they don’t know what the fuck to do with it?

Fails like this are part of any offensive...even the most successful ones. You just need to adapt and change your tactics. And again, its the minefields that are the worst. It forces the column to move slowly, in one line becoming an easy target. I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade drones with the head of the metal detector, and use them to map out a path through the minefield. Then...folow up with drones that can drop a grenade onto the mine. It should be possible. |

My guy slow down. This is an attack on an area that has been prepared for several months. This is not going to be the Kharkiv offensive on September 6th 2022, where the Russians were caught with their pants down. Probe an area, damn that area is too well defended, two battalions got smashed. Probe another, oh look a nice hole, let's exploit this area and send three brigades through it. If you're expecting light casualties while attacking, you're wrong. |

Nothing got smashed. Just analyze the Bradley footage closely. No artillery impact craters. No bodies. All hatches and trapdoors open. Easy to figure out what happened: Mines. So a column ran into a minefield. At least the Leopards are AT mine protected, as you can see. It appears undamaged, except for the tracks (unavoidable when mines detonate). The wreckage is just abandoned. Also Bradleys have mine protection, doesn't mean that they won't get taken out, as you can see... The seats and the crewspace are designed to absorb the shockwave of mine detonations. So the crew stays alive and leaves. Thats the main difference to russian hardware. Any T-tank with its ammo storage below the turret and any BMP hull wouln't have been that forgiving to their crews. The geolocation indicates that this scene is now behind the frontlines. The wreckage will be salvaged. The Leopard gets the damaged wheels and tracks replaced. Same for the recoverable Bradleys. Russian recon drones made some pics of this and now they'll spam youtube + all other multipliers and make a fuss of it. Thats what happned with alot other advancing columns. Minehit - vehicle immobile - gets left behind, its all about moving on. Thats why you see some russian Lancet drones hitting these immobilized tanks, cause the russian command considers it unlikely that they'll get their hands on them. So they try to take them out (probably Lancets can't totally destroy tanks anways). |
