Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
According to Sanjay Goel, a professor at the School of Business at the University at Albany and an expert in information security, Ritter would be prohibited from speaking to a foreign agent without reporting it to the federal government to be in compliance with the Foreign Agents Restriction Act. Goel adds that Ritter’s experience speaking publicly overseas could be a clue as to why the FBI took material from his home. “So in his case, he was been a critic of the US government across a broad range of policy and there is a fine line between free speech and national security,” Goel said. “And I think that’s where perceptions differ.” Bill Peeler, an international security expert, explains what the FBI could have been potentially looking for during the raid of Ritter’s home. “Some type of evidence, you know, tampering of records or communications or things of that nature,” Peeler said. “Obviously, some type of alleged violation, they’re looking for evidence of any foreign influence.” According to a long-time friend and colleague of Ritter, Larry Johnson, Ritter is being targeted for speaking out about his beliefs, and Johnson said he is worried for Ritter. “Scott’s not out to divulge declassified documents,” Johnson said. “Scott is just pointing out stupidity of American policy because he talks to Russians or he’ll talk to foreign nationals. However, Goel said that according to the Foreign Agents Restriction Law, anytime Ritter had communication with a foreign national, he had to let the U.S. government know. “They need to report it and every six months they need to tell them of activities, how much money they are getting, what they are doing so and this becomes a public database for public review,” Goel said. Ritter said that he is not intimidated by the FBI raid on his home and will continue to speak out about his beliefs. “I am not intimidated, and I will continue to speak out,” Ritter said. “And I will continue to do what I do because that’s my responsibility as an American citizen.” The FBI has not released any updated information on the investigation. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
For the first time, it was reported that Ukrainian forces struck DEEP inside Russia itself, and completely obliterated a convoy of new troops. They wiped it out totally. The Ukrainians now have armed groups operating ON RUSSIAN TERRITORY, attacking Russian targets, within Russia. The Ukrainians say the Russians have never had a taste of the war they started, and now it is time for RUSSIAN land to suffer form war. Slava Ukraini! It's about time! I hope they are wildly successful! |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
From the Office of Dmitry Medvedev: Causes and goals of terrorism The operations of the Ukrainian Nazis in the Kursk region have already been reflected in detail and objectively in the analytics. This is both a desire to profitably show off the remnants of their dwindling forces to their masters in order to obtain a new portion of money and weapons, and an attempt to thin out our combat formations on the main line of confrontation, drawing off some of the forces to Kursk and Belgorod, and a temporary informational transformation of betrayal into victory. It is necessary to learn a serious lesson from what happened and fulfill what Chief of the General Staff V. Gerasimov promised the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to mercilessly defeat and destroy the enemy. There is another important political and legal consequence of what happened. From now on, the SVO must acquire an openly extraterritorial character. This is no longer just an operation to return our official territories and punish the Nazis. We can and must go to the lands of the still existing Ukraine. To Odessa, to Kharkov, to Dnepropetrovsk, to Nikolaev. To Kiev and further. There should be no restrictions in the sense of some borders of the Ukrainian Reich recognized by someone. And now we can and must talk about this openly, without embarrassment and diplomatic curtseys. The terrorist operation of the Banderites must remove any taboos from this topic. Let everyone, including the English bastards, realize this: we will stop only when we consider it acceptable and beneficial for ourselves. Blessed memory to the dead: military and civilian, all who came under heavy fire from the neo-Nazis. The best memory of them is a carefully thought-out retribution. Recovery to all the wounded. 9 Aug 2024 11pm |
