Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Trump wants Canada and Greenland to become part of the US. Russia invaded Ukraine, took Crimea, eastern Ukraine and southern territories. Part of Moldova is controlled by Russia. He's talked about getting Poland in the past and made comments about taking Alaska back. ![]() Read between the lines to see what might be going on here. Someone hold me. I'm scared.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
All exaggerated threats to disorient allies forcing them into concessions. Not necessarily expecting literal outcomes or military interventions. He once said Poland was a gift from Stalin to the Poles not exactly saying it belongs to russia or wanting it back? Anyways it triggered Poland into massive military spendings. russia is on their way to recapture Kursk after 7 months plus the 3 days to Kiev is still ongoing so i wish them good luck invading Poland or any other country lol https://eadaily.com/en/news/2025/03/...ion-deep-state |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Some are made available to civilians, often trying to contact relatives on smartphones. But most are used by Ukraine's armed forces, which also have to contend with heavy signal jamming and interception of communications on the front lines. Ukrainian units often talk to each other via Starlink, and its services have become virtually indispensable for battlefield command and control. Ukraine also used Starlink to guide attack drones until Musk's rocket firm SpaceX curbed the practice two years ago. Originally, SpaceX helped to fund provision of Starlink to Ukraine. The U.S. government then took over, though last month Poland said it had been paying Ukraine's Starlink subscription and would continue to do so. Eutelsat already supports government and institutional communications in Ukraine, and told that it can provide an alternative for certain government and defence applications. Since its merger in 2023 with Britain's OneWeb, Eutelsat controls the only operational global-coverage constellation, besides Starlink, of satellites in low earth orbit (LEO). Starlink's more than 7,000 LEO satellites, suited to real-time communication, allow it to reach more users around the world and offer higher data speeds. But Eutelsat says that, even with only 630 or so LEO satellites, backed up by 35 linked satellites in higher, geostationary orbit, it offers the same capabilities as Starlink in Europe. Starlink promises broadband at up to 200 megabits per second, Eutelsat 150. OneWeb terminals, however, cost as much as $10,000, plus a monthly subscription price. Starlink charges Ukrainian users a one-time payment of $589 in addition to a monthly subscription of $95-$440, depending on the usage. It is not known whether any donor would offer to fund more Ukrainian OneWeb subscriptions. France and Britain, which are spearheading a peace deal to present to the U.S., hold a combined 24.8% stake in Eutelsat Group. Global competition to Starlink is shaping up, but slowly. Luxembourg-based SES (SESFg.LU), opens new tab delivers some satellite services to the Western NATO defence alliance via its medium earth orbit constellation of O3b mPOWER satellites. But like many other legacy satellite operators, it prioritises corporate customers, governments and militaries, offering no direct-to-consumer services, with terminals that are not consumer-friendly. Some EU initiatives such as IRIS² (pronounced 'Iris squared') and GOVSATCOM - which Kyiv is interested in - will take years (2030) to become fully operational. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
I just thought it'd mention a fun little fact about Starlink. It has about 5-7 year lifespan without Musk continuously launching up new sattellites. In other words, the entire satellite network will be destroyed in about 7 years, so, for a long term success and profit, Musk needs to have a constant profit from the network( as far as i know, its not profitable atm ). With civilians customers only, it would be very difficult to turn it into a profitable business. He needs high-paying government contracts and US military, Ukraine and Russia are potential candidates. |

Unfortunately, Trump's policies are not a social experiment, but a reality of today. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
When are these fuckin scum going to stop hitting civilian area's killing & injuring civilians including children. Surly the RAF scouts for targets to hit & with this being said, they would have seen that it's NOT a valuable military target & let it be, but oh no, they have to resort to shelling civilian targets like this. We have all seen the genocidal & terror tactics used by these low life assholes & it looks like it won't stop anytime soon. I'm sure that the people, the world over who support russia, feel quite proud about their master & his 3 day master plan to order these continuing atrocities to be carried out & that he has a lot of blood on his hands, yet people still want to deal with this evil dicktaker & his bitches. When is the world over going to learn that putin won't stop with Ukraine & that it's only a steppingstone to greener pastures & any peace plan or deal will give this fucker the time to regroup his forces & make another push to appease his greed. Putin needs to be eliminated & for Trump to buddy up to him shows that trump is just as dangerous, as he will say & do anything just to get his hands on the natural resources that Ukraine has & if you think that he, trump, cares about the Ukrainian People, you're dreaming, as we have clearly witnessed his thoughts & intent, in the Oval Office meeting the other day. Also, Trump, being a money man, doesn't care about the right & wrong aspect of things, he only cares about is his back pocket & impressing others with his deal making skills regardless of what the general consensus of the people the world over think as trump thinks that America is everything, it's not, as there's other countries around the world that rightly consider that what putin is doing is wrong otherwise they wouldn't support sending military aid to Ukraine & that everyone's watching what's going on & for trump to run Zelensky down as he did, was watched the world over & people & governments are taking notice of trumps actions & his obvious support of putin & what he's doing with Ukraine is starting to raise a few eyebrows, to say the least & trumps actions will no doubt bring in to question his moral standing to the point that these other countries may withdraw from trade deals with the US hurting the trump administration & there's an obvious Trust issue that's starting to arise out of all this, so in the long run, a deal brokered by trump with his "Friend Putin" may actually hurt US diplomacy as Trust is the building blocks for any nation / country & if you can't trust them, what then. I suppose time will tell but, in the meantime, putin & his bitches are slaughtering civilians by the thousands & destroying everything in sight as part of their eradication program & scorched earth policy while trump sits in his oval office, Happy as Larry & rubbing his greedy little hands together with glee at the prospect of getting all of Ukraine's Natural Resources OR even worse, splitting it in half with his buddy, putin, regardless of what the Ukrainian people think as "When, Not If, this happens, it will naturally displace the Ukrainians, so in actual fact, Ukraine is being attacked from both sides & the way in which he, trump & vance, tried to degrade & stand over Zelensky in the Oval Office as we witnessed the other day & it's a very clear indication of where trumps loyalties are at & the world should be concerned about him clearly sucking putins cock in front of the media. |

Seems like Musk and Trump are now helping ruSSkies to target Ukrainians and giving away their coordinates using Starlink and other possible means. Crazy.
