Why is Russia using N.Korean soldiers so hard to believe? They said they were receive NK soldiers. Obviously those soldiers are....soldiers...doing soldiery things. I think the russians or their mil-bloggers even confirmed some injured NK soldiers in long range missile strikes. There have also been drone videos of NK looking soldiers dying, but you can always make an argument that it was a squad of yakutians or some other russian-asian minorities. My guess is that most of them are still in training or manning secondary defense lines, so ruz can push forward, and the ones that died, died via long range weapons, behind the lines somewhere.

In reality, AI is trained on as much data as possible. The more data you give AI, the better it becomes. So...all large language models have huge amounts of data in them. Pretty much all the books ever written in the whole world, in all the languages. All the videos, transcripts of videos, all kinds of government documents, google docs and most likely even people's personal files that have been scanned without asking their permission.

ChatGPT is therefore less biased in general than an average person. A person will inevitably fall for the algorithm and only see the information they want to see. A GPT "sees" everything and takes the average of it all. If it has biases, then those biases came from the internet and all the data it ever saw.

As for your weird "David Myers" example, you probably just caused some kind of error or logical failure. I have no such problem with any name so far. The model you used is also meant for logic and STEM tasks. It doesn't know much about facts or public figures. Its also free, so it runs into problems like that quite often( when the load on the server is high and its reasoning is cut off suddenly ).

No matter what you believe regarding those subjects; what CNN is likely to view as conspiracy; chatGPT would also most likely classify as such. “A Fox News trained ChatGPT” would be the opposite.

Again it is trained on billions of texts not only cnn, however the people controlling it and making sure that it will tell you it would be better to have a nuclear holocaust compared to misgendering Caitlin Jenner (she was okay with it btw), that part, those rules are enforced by humans. The inherent bias resulting from this and thousand of other things, is what makes my say that it is basically trained on cnn

The political leanings to the left are understandable and dont really need much investigating in my opinion.
All Ai systems need to make themselves look "safe" and human friendly, and thats what the democrats are.
In other words, its better to give positive, affirming and friendly answers compared to right wing answers.
For example, if the gpt is is trying to be friendly, then answering a question "are migrants good people and welcome" would be "yes, migration is good, it brings in new tax revenue etc etc". Imagine asking that question and getting a right winger answer "No, migrants are terrorists and a burden to the society. They come to rape and kill in large convoys. Countries that have gotten rid of their immigrants are much safer than those that didn't".
Which of these would get more complaints?

Same goes for all other political and human questions. Right wing ideas would get pushback and complaints, leftwing ideas are much safer bet.

There is also a third thing to consider...that AI is teasing out the truth amongst all the data in the world, and the truth is that some political ideas are better than others, and thats it. Or do you disagree and think that every political idea is equal? Imagine if nazis were invading Poland now, and we had GPT who got asked a question "are nazis good and just". Would you consider an answer "no, they are violent and evil" to be biased and wrong?
