Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV
So one of the Ukr journalists that ran away from Ukr government to EU and whom I follow since 2014 and trust 99% confirmed 520 casualties in Makeevka on this moment. Not everyone is found, rescue services are still working. So I tend to believe that information about 600 dead is close to be correct

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV
Damn. I saw this too, Duntez... not sure what to make of it. I take stuff like this with a grain of salt until I start hearing several channels reporting it... there is probably a lot of creating stories and you never know where they pop up. Apparently there was another incident in Chervonopopovka that no one is talking about... have you heard anything about it? PHOTO CAPTION: Chervonopopovka!!! the tragedy that they wanted to keep silent about, in terms of its scale, it is not inferior to the Makeevskaya massacre ... scary... very scary...

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV
If I was in Russian military, I would be mad at commanding officers who decided to spend less time to separate them into smaller groups and station them in more protected places, consider the fact how close they are to the front line, rather being mad on Ukr army. About to get on TG… haven’t herd anything about that. But usually I skip such pictures and comments because you know how long it takes to post this comments in desired TC groups or w/e. But I do trust more to the TCs owned by fighters. Like TC PTSR.. he said that the same night Ukr forces stationed in Mariinka got hurt badly. They intercepted their radio conversations after the strike and it was pretty bad. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV
500-600 seems right considering the density of military barracs, the size of that building and the fact that it was totally destroyed. When i served in the army, i lived in barracs half the size, and we were fairly loosly packed in...and there were 200 of us in 1 building. Total destructing of a building twice the size would guarantee 400 dead for sure. If the attack took place during the night, then most would have been inside the building as well, asleep. As far as strategic targets go...that was a nice sweet spot. Either you kill 400 in 1 strike...or you have to kill then 2-3 at a time, wiping out entire villages in the process. |
