Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV

I'm sure it's happened... but I have yet to see a Ukrainian source post a Russian piece of footage and claim it as their own. I've seen Russian sources do this several times. That, alone, is enough to be extra wary of anything that comes from RU sources.
I have seen Ukrainian state television show a missile attack on Poland and claim it as Russian, does that count?

It was Russia's fault. The "missile attack" you saw was RUSSIAN.

It was a Russian missile that should have never been flying in Ukraine, let alone Poland, that Ukraine shot down with air defense. That's why it landed in Poland.

Ukraine didn't launch an attack on Poland, it was defending itself against incoming Russian missiles. If Russia wasn't invading Ukraine, it wouldn't have happened.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV

I was not here for more then year. Guess what? Cause I was on the frontlines. For money. Didn't take video except pictures.

If you want to know pure reality of things (objective I really don't give a damn who wins, I went because wanted to be in combat).

Russia is definitely winning, all those numbers of their "dead" soldiers are fiction and no, western weapons are not superiror. I won't go into details how much I earned, names of people involved, and locations but you got to know. Be it pro-Ukrainian or pro-Russian just to let you know Ukraine is losing badly and very much everyone left the country except people willing to fight, violently conscripted people and those who just want to greet the Russians or are old/willing to die in their homes or just surrender.

All this crap about Russians not being equipped is sickening. One of soldiers that was brought up for corpse exchange showed me how good Russian soldier is equipped but they don't flex their equipment. A lot of propaganda also, they asked us to pose with Ukrainians that are supposedly "captured Russians".

In almost every Russian journal we would find information about their morale and how it will maybe be needed to use not 5% of RF army then like 20% so this is finished faster.

I guess Russians are trying to save buildings cause really I've seen 0 targets that were aimed at unless we hid in it. And you need to hide cause they are not shelling us with "20 shells a day" as western media portrays. Third day I was there we counted at least 300 shells with around 70% accuracy.

HIMMARS is used but only few of them, Ukrainians don't know it but some people did.

This is the state of "better" fighters in Ukraine. It's cringy and sad (no medics around, leaving him like a dog, trying to breach some stupid fence that could be kicked with hand granade, no meds, "Nissan" car left to get shot down, total chaos).

From what I've gathered, even though western media is making everything totally seem different they mix a bit of truth here and there. Human waves are Russian thing, but it's no where meat grinder. They just overpower your lines and are skilled.

It's easy to think Ukraine is doing something if you only watch some of their successes. But believe me, for most of videos of their success after that they get killed.

Food is dealt very rationale. Medic's lack basic stuff like painkillers even tough supposedly we got so much money but someone is either taking that money or I dunno, dog eat it.

All in all, don't think you are protecting free world or civilization from Russians. Ukraine exists because of USSR, their first recognized territory was called Kyev Rus', it's basically a cradle of Russia and most people didn't want this but now they need to survive. And in these kind of moments you start to hate the enemy even if they are right and your people basically.

Also it's a lie T-90S is "small in number", by observing Russian positions we could see shitload of them but they just don't use it. It's almost like they want to say "surrender already!". Also whoever thinks Abrams or Leopard will just wipe out this type of tank by some divine Rambo type of miracle was never in war and knows shit about anti-tank and tank-to tank warfare. That tank is really good, dangerous and made for fighting on terrain that mostly suits Russian territory.

And Katyusha is still operational. They still use it and it killed a lot of Ukrainians. They don't dig fox holes, only crouch not lie down and there are so much of these projectiles you can just hope for the best.

What else ... only think we felt was Ukraine has this "hope" sanctions will do something to Russia until everyone acknowledged that Russians will attack and defend for their "Mother Russia" even if they ate stones.

Take it how you want it but that's how it is.

You fight (indirectly) for their cause but they will still try and discredit you
Anyway, great that you made it back in one piece, hope you can find peace and return to society.

P.s. if you would be willing to share some pictures, maybe we can create a new thread for real DR.com-member footage

Probably, but that does not bother me at all. They will only do it because of political reasons or whatever drives their potential discrediting based on history, politics, religion, nation, race. And my reasons for being there were are totally different.

Thank you for your kind words and hope you guys here no matter pro what you are doing best you currently can in life.

Well man, I got like 5-6 pics, I took my old 2000's Canon digital camera but all you can see is: my boots, some trees, a trench and sunset. I kind of wanted to take pics of corpses but I didn't. Probably cause it's so hectic and when you are a soldier you cannot exactly behave like civilian on some website.

Yeah, I'm gore fan and just taking a look at my post history you can read most disgusting humor ever and I enjoy it. But I didn't want to disrespect for example ... for example guy is screaming his lungs out cause he's sad because his friend is now nothing then an object.

I refused to take part in their "fake pic" maybe it's somewhere on Internet I would recognize it. I was tempted to picture some Russian dead soldiers but either my camera was not on me or it was still battle going on and they already buried them or exchanged them or who know what. I've seen a lot of corpses disappear cause of Russian heavy shelling and animals are everywhere so I guess they pull the body and eat it.

If all of this is true, why have russians been pushed back for a year, and why are they unable to take a single city right now? If the warzone is full of T-90s with expert drivers and russians don't lose troops at all, again, why does Russia have less territory gained than when they started?

Most of all, why did Russia need to mobilize conscripts for an offensive war, if the conflict has been going well for Russia? Conscripts are used for defensive wars, not offensive wars. Which is why it makes sense for Ukraine, but doesn't make sense for Russia whatsoever, unless their professional army has been failing their objectives since beginning of last year. I don't mean to offend you but none of what you say reflect with current reality of the frontlines. Nor the actual footage we get both from russians and ukrainians.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pushed"? I was not there when they retreated from Kiev or when they retreated from Herson. My logic tells me that Putin's goal is to have buffer state, not necessarily put Russian flag in Kiev and say "This is Russia".

From what I've gathered it's about "denazification" (which kinda holds true, most of Ukrainian soldiers were always talking about Hitler and other nonsense (delirious thinking, cause now Hitler = good cause he attacked USSR (and with that Ukraine, it's stupid af)).

Kherson retreat was good maneuver.

I doubt Russia would ever retreat if they used their full force. And I'm not talking about the fact they are nuclear power, but just sheer numbers tells you if they really wanted Ukraine like some people think they do they would do it at any cost. There's around 30 million people in Russia capable now, to be mobilized and sent to Ukraine. Who will stop them? But Russia does not do that, cause that's obviously not their goal.

Russians took plenty of cities. 25% of Ukraine is firmly in Russian hands. It's even debatable if Putin wants to push more. He is the one trying to engage some sort of peace meeting but Zelinsky wants to free his country at all cost. So there cannot be peace sitdown.

If the warzone is full of T-90s with expert drivers and russians don't lose troops at all, again, why does Russia have less territory gained than when they started?
I cannot say it's full, but it's far from what I already mentioned - what western media says. I didn't mention any expert drivers as we didn't face them in combat cause, again as I said I've just seen Russians show them off but not using them (probably cause they really do not want).

Who said Russians don't lose troops? I mention cadavers from both sides. My intention was just to warn you how much they lie to you. Personally from what I've seen it's usually 4-1 ration in favor of Russians in infantry combat.

Russia conscripts men because this could spill into WW3. In my opinion they are the option for most benign number of conscripts. Conscript's used for defensive war? I agree. Russians want to keep their positions, but also how was it called when Austro-Hungaria attacked Serbia? Conscription. From what Ukrainians told me they don't even know the number the waves of conscription they did as there were so already many of them. Guy who was point man in our group was 62 years old.

No offense but you get very, very little actual info and even though this is very explicit area of Internet I see "Slava Ukraini" is pushed heavily here so no wonder. Choosing teams always makes you blind. I can give you Russian telegram links and you will see Ukrainians blowing every half an hour.

By frontlines you mean the maps? Man, even pro-western maps (which are highly ridiculous with their updates) are showing you what's happening.

You know what's the fucked up part? Innocent and those who cannot defend themselves will die. Russian can devastate Bakhmut but they are trying to win it over without killing civilians that Zelinsky do not want to evacuate.

What I must commend them, even though I was on the other side is that they are way more considerate. Also had western guys in my company, laughing, spending ammo for nothing (they are 99% sure house is clean but they must obey "the protocol" and use flash and grenade and exchange 100 information before doing next move).

What is scary about Russians, at least for me is how good are they into luring you into seemingly clear paths but it's an ambush.

And with all that "protocol" things, we were always disorganized. Not because of language but because ... I don't know ... it seemed to me that Russians always waged a war and we were there "protecting and doing" something but never exactly sure what, where and why.

Like our superiors never had exact order, it was always dubious. Almost like I'm not in army but in a paintball team that has some fictional idea that some superweapon will kill Russians. Most of guys were showing off their tech and talked about it how good it is and then someone gets hit by Mosin Nagant.

Most of the battles felt like Russians begged us to put our guns down so we don't need to kill each other. Literally. For example: I was observing BMP that is around 50 meters from our guys just running trying to get to cover and BMP started to shoot in air. Not in them but in air. He could have easily kill them.

I don't know what happened next cause we felt they are surrounding us (which was in the end true, cause one of their diversion groups hit a mine and we heard it).

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV

Well that has to be one of the best explanations of read or seen so far and explains a lot. Which makes me think of when Faust said that if they wanted to take the terrain without thinking of hurting. Civilians they probably could.

Coming from the horses mouth as it were.
The whole thing is so fucked up. I’m just glad I’m sitting comfortably on my steer writing this. I don’t envy anyone on either side having to live through this shit.

I can see no winners really. Just lots of parents losing kids and kids losing parents.

And in all of it the rich getting. Richer out of this shit.

Perfectly stated point that the low downs are not seeing the money coming in because it’s being diverted by whoever.

What a nightmare
