Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Thats a story from WW2. Soviet Red Commissars and NKVD troops used to do that to their T-34 tank crews in critical operations, to ensure they just drive forward to the end. Soviet combat tactics in WW2 is very interesting anyways. Its the armored equivalent of their infamous "human wave + blocking unit" tactics.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Hey dickhead... I am just posting things I find... I am not creating these stories nor am I making a claim that any of it is true or false when I post them. The info I post with it is always the text the media is posted with. I did not author it. You're not over there either so you can't say what is true and what is not either so STFU. No need for your stupid commentary in the media thread... read the rules. EDIT: Just read the rest of the comments... the fact you're personally insulting me means I win. That's what weaklings (and trolls) do when they have nothing else. I have never personally insulted you for any of your bullshit posts and authored commentary with them, which usually only consists of the very rich and informative "dead ukies" phrase... along with a dumb emoji. If you want to have a civil discussion I'm all for it... but if you want to continue insulting me like a prepubescent boy... start a thread in the water cooler. That shit doesn't belong in here.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
He's got some issues to say the least ! He should probably go to his local butcher & get some brain's, a heart, some balls & a spine ! MF taking cheap shots at a very well respected member of DR who has kept us all up to date with what's going on with the war & spending countless hours doing it. You're doing a great job WM & I along with others greatly appreciate your time & effort to bring us the facts associated with each post that you upload to DR with info that's attached to the file. PPL shouldn't shoot the messenger, but we are dealing with another brainless "THING" here with "LOW TROLL" tactics so I'm not surprised by the feeble attempt to insult anyone as there likes have nothing better to do, to get attention, they feed off it & it gives them a reason to live......... Putin & his Pro Ruskie Buddie's can "GO FUCK THEMSELVES" |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Thank you for the kind words... just know I value and appreciate everyone here who adds valuable information/opinion from either side of the conflict. I do all I can to respect the fact people are allowed to feel the way they feel, even if I feel differently. It's impossible to expect that in return but it's when it gets personal and disrespectful is when I'm able to dismiss someone. I'm just not interested in the personal insult trolling drama. I've been posting mainly stuff from the Ukrainian side of the war... with a little Russian media in between. I've been thinking of posting more Russian stuff as I do feel the media posted is rather unbalanced. It's best to show things from both sides... I just don't follow many Russian sources anymore as they aren't as reliable, in my experience. The Ukrainian sources have their heavy bias' and issues with reliability... but for me it is just different. They are in a defensive position against a huge country invading and destroying their territory and killing their people which is the fundamental "wrong" with the whole situation. Ukraine also has to consider the consequences of any propaganda or false reporting more carefully. Almost the entire world is watching every move they make out of allegiance and support... many powerful nations providing military aid and financial support. Russia doesn't quite qualify in the obligation of being more responsible in their information as Ukraine must be for those reasons alone. Russia just doesn't give a fuck if what they are saying is believable, rational, logical or not. I.E. denazify, special military operation, gay satanists, all Ukrainians are ugly. They don't really have anyone to answer to but themselves. Maybe China/Iran. Russia has [more of] a proven history of misinformation, deceit, lies, and propaganda... in my experience. Many people expect me to just disregard all of that... and I cannot. Even after saying all that... I'm also conscious of the fact that perhaps, the Ukrainian/rest of the world side of the things could very well be "orchestrated" to a degree... with the wests' proxy war scenario... it's a multifaceted, complicated situation. So I go with what makes sense; on a primal, rudimentary, instinctual, human level. The lesser of two evils. But make no mistake... in general, the suffering and deaths of any soldier or civilian are difficult for me and I feel for the people stuck in the middle. Sorry, I noveled you.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
1. Volunteer and paramedic Yulia Paevska ("Tyra") received the Stanislav Vincenz award "For humanitarian service and contribution to the development of regions." "Tyra" dedicated the award to Volodymyr Vakulenko, a children's writer and poet who was killed by the Russian occupiers. "I don't think I deserve this big award. But I take it as a great honor and dedicate it to Volodymyr Vakulenko and all cultural figures who were murdered and killed by the Moscow occupiers," Paevska said. 2. INFO about the author referenced above: Children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko was murdered in Kharkiv region during the occupation - this is evidenced by the results of DNA examination, which were received by journalists of the investigative department of "Suspilne". After Ukrainian troops liberated the occupied Izium, a mass grave was found in the city. The burial was conducted by a local funeral service, which also kept a journal with data on the dead. As journalists found out, this journal, number 319, contained the data of the writer UPDATE: Law enforcement officers have completed DNA testing of a body from a mass grave in Izium and confirmed that one of the dead is writer and poet Volodymyr Vakulenko. Witnesses who buried the Ukrainian at the Izium cemetery told police that they saw bullet holes in the body and shot documents of the Ukrainian writer. The body had been on the street for more than a month

WhiskeyOutpost A concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Mykola Leontovich's "Schedryk" was held in New York. EDIT: Added another music video I found... "A guitar is always next to a weapon. A touching song by Zaporizhia defender Roman Kryvoshey"
