- Looks like the Russian BMPT "Terminator" has shown up in combat in Lughansk. Apparantly they were hit with some artillery but survived. No video yet. The BMPT is armed with a twin 30mm cannon, one coaxial PK machine gun and four 9M120 "Ataka" ATGM's. This is the same ATGM Russian attack choppers fire. (Last photo) |

Yes, it can. The thing is, most Russian tanks don't seem to have a lot reactive armor on their sides. Just on the turret and front slope of the hull near the driver. I think that's why we're seeing Russian tanks either destroyed or immobilized by artillery. If you don't have side ERA panels, then artillery fragments could penetrate the side hull and turret, killing crew and detonating their ammunition.
