Don't get your panties in a twist. There are many reasons UA soldiers wear American flag patches.

Many UA soldiers are trained by American military and these patches are given to them during or after that time as a gesture of comradery. It's for that reason that many soldiers wear them on the front lines.

Some of their gear has been provided by the US military and patches are sometimes included.

Soldiers on the battlefield often exchange patches, again as a form of comradery.

And finally, the US has been the number one supplier of weapons and military aid to Ukraine. Many UA soldiers wear them in a show of appreciation and solidarity.

Mostly all of these reasons are about respect and morale. One UA soldier who previous trained with the police in Houston wears a "don't mess with Texas" patch.

I'm sure there are other reasons for it as well, none of which are because there are actual NATO troops on the front lines in Ukraine. But I've been waiting for someone to use this to support that argument.

It's being engaged with some sort of chain gun, probably a 20-30mm autocannon on a vehicle of some sort. Definitely not a personnel machine gun.

No idea on other specifics on who is doing what and where.
