"In 1924, the city's name was changed from Bakhmut to Artemivsk, in honor of a Russian Bolshevik (Communist) revolutionary figure known as Comrade Artem who lived and worked in the city in the early years of the revolution." So yeah, it's Bakhmut...next to the river of Bakhmut...and it has been Bakhmut since it was founded. It won't be Artemivsk because some commie cunt had a nickname and a friendship with Stalin. Or...should we rename Serbia as BidenLand...would be cool, right? |

Using the actual names of locations helps if anyone should search for footage from a particular location in these threads. I've started noting the other spellings of places in my posts; i.e. Avdiivka, Avdeevka, Mariinka, Maryinka, Zaporozhye, Zaporizhzhia. But I don't use descriptors based on pride, spite, emotion, nicknames or wishful thinking, just actual city names. Just an idea, of course, you're free to do what you want.
