Sadly nope,

Ukraine doesn't control any roads into Bakhmut anymore.
The keyword here is "control".
Yes, Russians aren't physically on the roads, blocking them with checkpoints or mines, but they are denying the use of the roads using Artillery/AT weapons/Tanks etc.
All the roads leading into Bankhmut are well within striking distance of even the basic AT weapons like Kornet. That's why Ukrainians try to avoid the roads leading into Bakhmut and use the roads only at night.

God, why didn't they pull out then? Its just a country town, they can easily defend the next one, and the next. Its wrong to defend at all costs, if its more or less just a symbolic pile of rubble.

Everything I've heard suggests that they have been conducting a controlled withdrawal for a little over a week. Reinforcements to the area are to hold the north and south apart.

Based on stuff I've seen, the defense of Bakhmut is important to prevent the Russians advancing to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. There may also be something planned for Bakhmut too, but I can't say for sure. But reportedly Russia just keeps throwing bodies at Bakhmut and they are dying 5 to 1 compared to UA. Lots of loss on UA side too. I read somewhere that Russia lost 500 people in Bakhmut alone overnight from 10-11 March. Not sure if it's true.

EDIT: added SS of another figure being discussed about Bakhmut. Apparently, 50,000 RU soldiers have been killed there alone. Take with a grain of salt.
