Free Syria Army TOW Missile Hits a Bunch of SAA Soldiers
No sound. On the Maaradis front in the Hama countryside, 16 October 2016. Looks like a BGM-71 TOW hit them, not sure why these Syrian government troops were just hanging out in a big gaggle next to a heavy mortar. Its ammo cooks off instantly on arrival. |

Goddamn.  Seems kind of silly they were all standing around like that. That thing doesn't look all that big in the 2nd picture you posted but next to that guy looks ginormous. Great find.

TOW Gunner got a massive kill streak as the kids say these days. I've never been under fire...however, I think I would be able to see a giant TOW missile flying toward me....at the very minimum if I survived as a few did....I would at least start putting rounds in that direction. |

Not that simple. In real time by the time you hear that type of missile flying towards you, it’s too late. And a direct explosion of that magnitude is really disorienting, ears are blown, vision blurry, face bloody, looking at guys you were just laughing with blown into pieces. And you have no idea where it came from. All you can do is sprint for cover and pray you don’t have a sniper scope on you  |
