A lot of talk right now on Telegrams that Russian troops in Kherson are moving south. It's no surprise that Ukranians are reporting the liberation of settlements including Pravdino, Kalininskoye and Snigurivka.

I have seen many reports this afternoon that there are orders for a retreat from Kherson... I'm still getting caught up though.

Russia officially surrenders Kherson - the only regional center of Ukraine that it has managed to capture since the beginning of the invasion. Just a month and a half ago, Putin declared that Kherson is Russia and threatened to use nuclear weapons in case of an attack on "Russian lands." And now Putin has shown that he is unable to keep Kherson. The Ukrainian army showed its superiority over the elite of the Russian armed forces - Kherson defended in full force all the Russian Airborne Forces, combat groups from all four divisions and four brigades of the Airborne Forces under the command of the commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel General Teplinsky. However, the best forces of the Russians were unable to hold back the onslaught of the Ukrainians, despite the superiority of Russia in aviation, artillery, tanks and attack drones.
