12. I noticed this too, and have come back to it over and over. One of the more stark examples I've seen of such a spray: captured by a surface right next to someone hit by a drone, but the surface isn't ALSO shredded to unrecognizable, AND it's a good view of both the before-and-after.
I concur, he does seem to be watching the followup drone (though I don't see blinking), but it feels more like 'eyes dulling as final blood pressure falls' rather than an effort to play dead per se. If you're trying to do that, it's better to close them (I think). The swath of sprayed ballbearing-or-whatever holes behind him seems to have missed the lowest foot or so of the wall as it blew his feet off/away at such a low incoming angle re: general insult-to-body: his legs may have absorbed much of the spray, but he probably took at least a couple from forehead-up too.
Forensic path. here. He's dead. At least 5 holes in his head. High velocity ball bearings (appears). The concussion would have killed him, but the metal did it's job.
