No I mean it’s automated. Russian jets just like any other jet in the world, I assume, have special unit onboard for a friendly anti air systems to read as one of your own. This unit is removed when jets are sold to another countries.

You mean the IFF system? Identify Friend or Foe. Any combat aircraft should have the system, but it can be turned off as well.

Yes, modern militaries have this. In the US Army we had something called BFT Blue Force Tracker. Anything friendly with a GPS was displayed on an LCD screen in our tank. You could also add things, anything, like a BMP or an MG nest, or a local asshole if you add as "custom"
