Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine. Day: 1205-1214 (June 11th - June 20th)
1. Drone finds enemy in corner of destroyed building. 2. Deep breathing won't save you. 3. The enemy are already short on equipment, their foot soldiers have swapped BMP's for bicycles and now they've also lost one of their so-called unparalleled Tigr armored vehicles. 4. Phoenix border guards destroy enemy equipment in the Kupyansk direction Over the course of 1 week, the unit's fighters neutralized 2 tanks, 3 armored personnel carriers, including the Tigr, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, 2 howitzers, a MT-12 Rapier cannon, 6 trucks, a military vehicle, a fuel and ammo depot and a warehouse. 5. The Gart brigade struck enemy concentration areas and firing positions near Volchansk. Drones from the ****** unit discovered an enemy BS-3 cannon in a forest strip, its barrel had not yet had time to cool down after combat work, and its heat trace fell into the field of view of the Vampire bomber. The defenders also hit a field BC depot, a shelter with manpower, and two enemy vehicles. 6. Drones of the Phoenix unit of the Pomsta border brigade unit are destroying the occupier's equipment and logistics in the Krematorsk region: Two "Grad" MLRS, an enemy UAV control point, a cannon, an ammunition depot, 4 trucks, and 5 cars were destroyed. 7. Enemy roadkill. 8. Enemy in forest are killed and one pow. 9. Drone dropping right on target. |

Force of Freedom Battalion hitting the enemy the hard way. 6. Lost a leg and dying. 7. Destroying the enemy in the Sumy direction. 8. Running around the only (little) tree left. 9. Predator drone Brigade at work in the toretsk direction. |

I haven't been keeping up too much recently with the drones, Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the ring around the mortar is/is for? At first I thought they were wrapping them with C2 to get a bigger boom, but that looks like piping of some sort, definitely not sheet explosives. |

Looks like a home brewed shaped charge. Upside down wine bottle type deal. Focus the blast.

A Russian Su-25 was shot down today by its own wingman during the launch of unguided air-to-ground rockets near Soledar, Donetsk region.

Running frame by frame suggests the aircraft was already in a hard left bank and out of the trajectory of the rockets which you can clearly see passing the jet. As both are flaring I’d put my money on 23mm AAA. Awesome video tho. |

“The pilot is in the hospital with a broken arm. A commission will investigate what went wrong and determine who is to blame.” At least 6 rockets were fired. They all missed but looks like the sudden maneuvre did something malfunctioning. Like someone said: "The wing-to-fuselage attachment joints failed due to a sharp high-G maneuver. Although the overload was within the aircraft’s design limits, the likely cause is pre-existing microcracks in one of the attachment points. These joints are not typically inspected during routine maintenance, so the failure could stem from a manufacturing or repair defect at the overhaul facility, or from a previously undetected structural weakness that manifested under stress" |

Awesome. Yeah I assumed AAA because the 25 should easily be able to handle a maneuver like that. She banks, pulls on the stick, and the wing just sorta pops off and sprays fuel everywhere.

As the Russian pilot, I would be asking: Ummmmm, technically, does that STILL count towards my "ACE" ranking? I mean, I shot the airplane down, so that should count, right?!?!? Is there a regulation somewhere that says it CAN'T be one of OUR aircraft? If not, then I would STILL like credit for it! |
