Perhaps in a conventional ground war, no, Ukraine can’t readily take back Donbas and Crimea anytime soon… but a crippled Russian army isn’t so well equipped to serve as an occupying force.

The ukrainian media/youtubers and local media here also doubts taking back the occupied territories any time soon( at least not through war ). Not this year. Nothing new.
The goal of taking back the occupied territories is within the next 2-3 years, unless a diplomatic solution is reached.

"I have lung cancer, but I was still sent to the army" - Andrii Yurievich, who lived in Horlivka.

He says that his unit "Storm" is completely demoralized and not ready to fight.
